  • Comfortable Bungalow

by Ranjeettraveller on January 12, 2017

We visited this property in december 22-25, we were a group of 20 people and rented complete bungalow, this bungalow is good if you are going with a big group and booking it full not just part, panchgani and market are 5 kms from bungalow, rooms are average, cleanliness is average, sandeep is always available as he stays here with his family, i would say eat somewhere else, property is surrounded by various bungalows and other hotels, property doesn't have swimming pool, have a beautiful small garden but you will enjoy your stay here with your family, kids or friends, i won't give you false hopes but i feel this is a must visit property.

  • Refreshing time spent! Excellent for family get-together!!!

    by pranitaj01 on December 5, 2016

I went to 5 oaks with my family and it was a worth remembering get-together for us. We were 11 people including 2 children and an infant child. None of us felt uncomfortable with the arrangements. The privacy and sanity is worth appreciating. The best part of this resort is the beautifully maintained garden around the bungalow with flowers of varied colors and types. The mountain and valley views from each room's balcony makes it even more refreshing. The self contained rooms take care of your privacy. Sandeep, the care taker cooked and arranged dinner, breakfast and beverages as required. The location, atmosphere and its whole-hearted maintenance makes this place photogenic. Thumbs up to owner, Shounak Pathare! :)

  • mahabaleshwar at 5 Oaks Bungalow

    by Prashant242Mumbai on December 22, 2014

I visited 5 Oaks Bunglows with my wife on 15th December to 19th December 2014, Spent 4 nights and just loved the place . The Bunglow is very clean, well maintained with clean small rooms and a very good ambiance and booked by me by contacting owner Mr. Shounak Pathare. We stayed on 1st floor in a room with balcony and small terrace. The room has awesome view of hill. The bunglow has a very well maintained garden bloomed with very lovely species of colorful flowers. We could pass our plenty of time on Jhula in garden. The caretaker Sandeep is very good and he has maintained the garden very well. The bunglow is on the Panchgani Mahabaleshwar Road and about 5 km away from market place. The homely food is cooked by the caretaker and also all type food is available at the nearby Hotel Hirkani. I had a very memorable stay here & would like to come again & again. I will recommend this hotel to everyone for its lovely location, ambiance and good service. For sight seeing I will advise one to hire taxi from market because taxi charges are more by Rs.300/- than that of taxi stand at market. There are S.T. Buses and private public transport known as Kali Pivali (black and yellow) at very nominal cost available between resort and market within interval of 20 to 25 minutes. Panchgani and Pratapgadh Fort can be visited by S.T. Buses. The one way journey is hardly of 45 minutes. Bus Timings can be inquired at S.T. Stand in the market.

  • Good Bunglow

    by Abhijeet S on August 1, 2013

We stayed there as we were 15 members and we had booked whole bungalow. The stay was nice but due to rain & cold weather there was scarcity of hot water. We had to wait at least 15-20 minutes for hot water after switching on the heater. Location is nice. Rooms are good, bathroom is small still clean. 5 oaks bungalow is 5 km away from Mahabaleshwar but it is not too much away. All big hotel and resorts are near to Bungalow. Care taker is also helpful but does not take much stress. Owner should arrange room heaters or shegdis delight visitors. For a group of more than 10 peoples i really recommend this bungalow. Couples must look for some other hotel. Overall 7 on ten bungalow.

  • Nice Stay but Service Could have been Better !

    by Khatwani_M on December 27, 2012

We ended up at 5 Oaks after a lot of research on Bungalows in and Around Mahabaleshwar. Its a decently Priced place and rents out by the room. We took the Upper and the ground level rooms so as to have enough Privacy as the basement level rooms had a separate entrance through the parking area. The Bungalow is nicely placed on a Hillock and has breathtaking Hill and Sunset views from the Balconies and Lawns on the Western side. Rooms are neat and clean, the open living area is a nice place to lounge around, the 2 lawns on the property are small but well maintained and with quite a bit of interesting species of Flowers. No complaints about the service, Sandeep the Caretaker lives within the premises and is available at a call. What Dissapointed us though was the food Prices (Which are more or less on lines of any hotels around) as well as the food quality which was strictly average. We were lucky to have a place called "Hirkani Restaurant" right across the street which served excellent food and yes, they do provide delivery to 5 Oaks. All in All, if you are not too fussy about the food part, this Bungalow is worth considering !
