An awesome place to book if you intend going with friends and family. Peaceful and huge open spaces. Good rooms with the basic facilities. Respectable and cheerful staff. Situated just at a walking distance from the market. Ample parking space. Playground and garden space for children. Authentic and delicious vegetarian food served by the hotel owner. Clean and well maintained. Although you have the liberty to order for non-veg food in the rooms and also have a barbeque if you wish too. Just carry Your Own barbeque set along with you. All in all a place you would never wish to miss if you're around Mahableshwar.

We stayed here for 2 days.. first visit of 2016 to mahabaleshwar.. It is not for people looking for a 3-5 star place... yet it is pretty decent one and reasonable too. The food is good as well, the place is very near to the markets and yet very calm and quiet.

I came to this hotel because its location was strategic, near the market and bus stand, and still it was isolated and quiet. But big mistake on my part!!! The hotel architecture seems to date back to 1950s era, and that would have been still fine if their in-room accessories and general service was good. Seems like along with the architecture, even the beddings, furniture, and toilet-baths are from the 1950s era. The bedsheets and towels were clean but very old and were full of rust stains. I can still put up with old furniture, but the most terrible part of was the toilets and bathrooms. The hot water was non-existent (they had to supply it through buckets), toilet flushes were malfunctioning, wash basins were cracked, water taps were creaking and leaking, and all these were full of rust stains too. Taking a dump in their toilet or bathing in the bathroom was like a "punishment". I guess only people who do not get reservations at any other place stay here. And I doubt that the previous reviews rating this place as "excellent" are forged (written by the owner himself or his relatives)!

I have been to this hotel twice. The first time I stayed alone for a week. I was compiling a few essays on my laptop and needed a peaceful and quiet location. Aaram hotel served just the purpose. My one week trip ended up great and I am thankful to the management and the staff there. My second trip was with my girlfriend. The staff recognized me and we got the same room luckily and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is located very close to main market, about 10 mins walk, yet it is very peaceful and quiet once inside. The booking and info desk is hassle free, you just deposit a minimal amount and rest you pay upon departure. The rooms are good and there is plenty of car parking. Our room had a nice private balcony sit out. The hotel serves Vegetarian Maharastrian thali for lunch and dinner. Thali is delivered to room or you can have it in their restaurant. Food was very good and homely with sufficient quantity. Tea/Cofee and breakfast is also served at your room. The staff provided a very good service and was polite. As a couple we wanted solace and got exactly that. You can carry your own alcohol and consume it inside your room, same with NV food items, you can bring them from outside. The washroom and toilets are not of great standards, yet they serve the purpose. TV's are not flat screens, but we hardly watched TV. You can take a walk around the campus in the morning and evening in fresh weather. I will praise the staff and management as they are very helpful and least intrusive. I had a toothache one night and the management arranged for a taxi to take me to Panchgani to a dentist. Very kind of them. At approx 2500 per night inclusive of breakfast and meals in month of June, this stay proved to be economical as well. Mind you, the hotel accepts only cash, no credit cards. If you need cash, there are ATM's in the market place. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel if you are visiting with your better half. For kids, there is nothing much to do in this place, so take some toys along to keep them busy. Taxis are on call and you have to negotiate rates for sight seeing. If you have your own car, then hotel keeps a map and you can do sight seeing yourself. Before departing, please do say thanks to the staff and tip them. It keeps them motivated to serve you well. Overall 5 stars to this hotel.

Aaram lodging and boarding is a nice place. It was an extended weekend and Mahabaleshwar was jam packed. However, the owner still offered us an accommodation. We had just intimated over the phone without any advance payment. The Hotel area is good enough. We loved the Maharashtrian food served here. Just that we went to this place in the rainy season and the room and the bedding was not up to the mark. The room seemed to be unoccupied for sometime and so the bedding had a typical smell when unused in rainy season. The service was not up to the mark. It was just OK.
