We were 2 families staying 3 days and 2 nights. We had booked the pool superior rooms which had a loft for the kids. What I didn't understand is when the occupancy for the room is 2 adults +2 children, then why are children being charged extra. Request the management to look into this discrepancy. The restaurant served multi cuisine and food was delicious and well prepared. The strawberry pastry was incredibly tasty and the chicken briyani flavour was fabulous. However, the restaurant/ room service should have some baby food option for toddlers, which we found difficult. Breakfast spread was lavish. Overall a pleasant trip, esp the activities/treks/ puppet show arranged for the kids within the resort were interesting. The resort was well maintained and staff were friendly. Anand Aruldas

Stayed in lavender grand with valley view. However instead of valley view we had a slum view. The hairdryer wouldn't work. The meals were good.

  • Very nice experience

Stayed in Grand Orchid room and room was very spacious and very modern with balcony overlooking the valley. Resort provides all the amenities including beautiful swimming pool, steam room, spa and game zone. Everyday they have activities for kids in the evening. Buffet breakfast was super 5 star and restaurant food was also amazing. Deserves the 5 star category. Will definitely visit again.

  • Nice property

by cshekar on May 13, 2017

A little on the outskirts of Mahabaleswar town but an ideal place to spend a quite weekend in the hills. The property is designed for family travel, with most rooms having an extra mezzanine floor for kids etc. The resort has a fully functional pool, sauna and spa within the premises. Food could be better, but a very nice stay overall.

  • excellent property, rooms and service

by RajeshMahadevan on May 12, 2017

visited from 08may2017 to 10may2017, 4 adults and 1 child. The property is around 2 kms away from the panchgani-mahabaleshwar main road. This 2 km approach goes to kates point which is around 1.2 kms from the hotel. The road to the hotel is narrow so you need to drive carefully and driving in the dark is not recommended. The property is excellent, clean and well maintained but since it is on a slope there are a lot of stairs. However there are lifts provided at every level. The rooms were clean and well maintained. We booked the pool-side superior rooms which had a 200 square feet lower room (excluding baths). Bath and toilet were separate (see photo). The room had a small loft (around 5 feet high only) with a bed to accommodate 2 children. The wooden stairs are a bit slippery so one has to be careful while coming down. The view from the rooms were superb with a beautiful sunrise and call of the birds in the morning. The baths/toilets were were absolutely clean and stocked with fresh bath towels, hand towels, shower gel, shampoo and soap The pool was large around 80 feet x 40 feet -- 4 feet deep ABSOLUTELY CLEAN. A separate jacuzzi and children's pool was also present. The room tarriff (rs 7125/room/night including weekday discount) included breakfast. The spread was lavish -- with both indian and american breakfast options. There are multiple restaurants and we had dinner one night of our stay at the restaurant. The restaurant is slightly expensive but absolute value for money. The bill for the 4 adults and 1 child was 1458 including taxes but the food was super tasty. Room had free internet but restricted to one login per person which i found restrictive since they are selling a double bed. Also the room is advertised as a valley-view, which gives the impression that the hotel is on top a mountain and the entire valley will be visible from the hotel room. This is not true. the hotel has something like a hillside view with houses on the hillside. ONE STAR MINUS for this misleading information. Infact none of the rooms are valley view in this property. rajesh

  • The suites have the best view, while the Orchid grands have a good view, private sitout and private garden

by Purplenista on May 2, 2017

  • Ask for valley facing rooms near the swimming pool or towards the right corner of the property.
