    Excellent!

    by Gaurav on 01-04-2015

Over all experience was really amazing, hotel had that easter year look of british bunglow which infact it is so they have maintained the asthetics very well Staff was really courteous and was always on toes to serve you well with your needs which can have no limits :) Food was fantastic as well, i cannot recall one single meal which was just average (We had All meals in the hotel). Another positive it has is that it is very close to the local market (Walking) which will surely give a local flavour if you wish to walk during pleasent evening So i would rate this hotel (With extra curricular activities) as Fantastic and a must if you are visiting Mahabaleshwar

    Poor!

    by Mihir Wadia on 26-01-2015

The staff is excellent...very courteous and take care of all requests. However the property old and not up to the mark. Hot water was a problem and we even had brown colored water in the bathroom. The room was not cleaned properly when we checked in. Breakfast buffet was good but dinner was overpriced.

  • Lovely Hotel

    by girishthakkar11 on July 12, 2017

I had booked 3 rooms as we were 9 adults. The property is well maintained and near the market as well. The rooms are nice and well maintained. The breakfast they serve is nice but was almost same for both the days. The pool is small. Now comes the best part of the hotel which is their warm, pleasant and welcoming staff. Their service was the best i've come across from a long time.I would like to mention few names, Shivaji and Pradip were very humble and prompt with everything required. The girl at the breakfast area from North east (Priya i guess so) was very prompt and very well managing the breakfast area. Sorry if i've forgotten some names but hats off to the entire team at Citrus.

  • Comfortable place to stay but not exactly the lap of luxury

    by Snapper1982 on July 6, 2017

We were a family of 5 adults who recently visited Mahableshwar to celebrate a special occasion. We had booked ourselves two adjoining suites in order to be able to spend time together. On arrival, we were swiftly checked in and shown to our room. The rooms were large and sufficiently clean. The fittings in the bathroom as well as doors and windows were a bit jaded and could do with some upgrade. In one of the rooms, we requested for an extra bed and they got only a rather dirty mattress. We asked to have a bed and they finally got a fold out cot with an old mattress which was set up in the living area. However, they left the other mattress in the balcony for the whole time that we stayed there. The breakfast spread was rather ordinary but some of the items tasted ok. We also had dinner on one of the evenings and the quality of food was average so we actually ended up going elsewhere for dinner the second evening. In terms of amenities, they have a game room with a TT table and a Carrom board. For a hotel of this class, they could have had better TT bats and at least invested in a TT ball. My wife and I went to the market place and bought a new ball to play with. The Carrom board was also rather old and not too much fun to play with. The swimming pool was quite dirty (full of dead bugs) and had a lot of tiles at the bottom that were chipped so we did not venture into the pool. Positives for the hotel are good location (5 min walk from the Market), quiet surroundings, ample parking space and an average restaurant in case you don't feel like stepping out. Negatives are 1. Hotel is located next to a Sewage Treatment plant so when you step outside the suites, there is a faint stench. This may not be felt in the rooms as they were a little away and behind the main building. 2. Suites could be upgraded to have more comfort and style 3. A strange policy of check in at 12:00pm and Check out at 10:00am which was inconvenient on a Sunday. 4. Wifi did not work at all throughout the stay and cellular network inside the room was very patchy The suites were not at all value for money. Maybe it would make sense to stay in the rooms given how close it is to the market.

  • Genuine Hospitality

    by Nikhil N on July 2, 2017

Stayed at the Citrus chambers for two nights with my friends and family. The one thing that stands out is the hospitality of the staff. With everyone from Chittaranjan at the front desk to, Manik at F&B and their entire team it doesn't have that 'fake smile' experience but a wonderful genuinely friendly experience. They went out of their way to ensure we had a pleasant experience. The buffet spread, while not the most extensive was just right. The mutton roganjosh was probably the best I have had since the past 15 years or so - during the buffet people were actually waiting after finishing food just to get another cup of that delicacy :). When we wanted some customised food it was made without a second request and the team actually asked exactly what was needed so they could give us what we wanted. The rooms (3003/5/6) were spacious and we had a suite which we exchanged for the room :). While the 2005 room though not the most spacious was cozy. We even used the swimming pool ( 15 degrees Celsius with rain ) well call us crazy!!! It was nice fun with the two goal posts at either end with a nice ball for some games. Overall I will say one of the best experiences I have had in all my travels across multiple cities in India and abroad as well. Well the only negative if I had to call it that was the slightly compact place where we ate. Overall it is a nice place to stay at MahaB.

  • Terrible experience

    by Bhupendra P on June 28, 2017

Visited in the month of june 2017....the whoke area leading upto the deluxe rooms was stinking of bad smell...worse than a public toilet....bathrooms are very small in size...had booked for two days but had to cancel the second day due to the bad smell.....they need to realy work on this and improve on it....

  • Not a 4Star Property

by AnoopPoonja on June 21, 2017

Citrus Chambers does not attract 4 Stars. The staff is trained to behave, and not experienced enough for 4Star standards. The food was good, but the hotel was not maintained enough to please the eye. The rooms were small but decent. No gym or bar only adds to the misery. Overall not worth the price you pay for this hotel.

  • Do not opt for the suites as they are not worth the price. Standard rooms may be a better choice.

    by Snapper1982 on July 6, 2017

  • No rooms have any view, if you need bigger rooms, opt for the rooms in the 1st floor.

  • i think i could not explore all the rooms ...
