  • Excellent stay !

    by monica4343 on June 12, 2018

Post spending many hours in deciding which hotel to stay we landed up in fountain hotel ! Frankly I wasnt much keen as this hotel didnt look posh and luxurious !! To give a very frank opinion, its one of the best hotels to stay in Mahabaleshwar ! Refer below points : 1. Food : Here goes my favourite quote - First we eat, then we do everything else Fountain has d best food - may it be its taste or its variety or its quality. We used to look forward everyday for their food! And believe me they had immense varieties ! At times we had their pasta or misal Pav or Pav bhaji or even corn on cheese toast! Who would guess that a pure veg hotel offering so much of variety !! Pic uploaded also. We also ordered tea from room service which was very prompt and good !! We wanted to extend our stay just and just for their food !! 2. Room : we were 5 family members so they suggested us their duplex ! When we visited the reception at d time of check in the staff was very patient enough to show us different types of rooms and gave us time to decide which one ! We opted for the non Ac Duplex which has 2 double bed with a bathroom and sit out down and a double bed up with a tv and bathroom ! Refer pics ! Very pleasant and comfortable stay, we had no issues and loved our room ! Electricity used to go many times but for some mins so manageable ! Fog was sooo much in the hotel that we could hardly see anything but as per me this was a big plus point !! What lovely weather ! 3. Service : There is no doubt that they have the best service best staff and best hospitality !! These guys were so helpful and so damn good ! We requested them to give us Jain sabudana khichdi as one of our family member was fasting ! They made sure we get the same and were helpful ! Kudos to their lovely team ! Swimming pool was good only their fun zone was not maintained but I think people dnt use it also ! Overall one of the best places with best food and service !

  • Decent hotel (pet friendly)

    by lovetravelling797 on May 30, 2018

It is diff to find good pet friendly places for a holiday. this place is good for pet families. varies optiona with available rooms and is reasonable. Only issue we faced was non availability of non veg food. otherwise good place to be.

  • Clean... spacious property with god amenities

    by Vaidehi15 on May 3, 2018

It's Good option to visit with friends or family...the property is huge... old rooms are small so better to opt for new rooms. Good food & clean pool too... Plz confirm the rooms before you book. For kids there are less indoor activities but that's the case everywhere in pmahabaleshwar. Easy to move to market area... staff is very friendly... n yes best part is kids can enjoy monkeys coming to property during the day...

  • Wonderful experience

  • Noisy Neighbours

    by Prateek S on April 2, 2018

The room was nice. The service was descent. The location is good. The sunset golden. The food was great. The massive hitch - The neighbours! The walls are paper thin and we had a rowdy bunch of couples playing poker outside our room till 2am. Loud. I even had to ask them to shift to another location as they kept us up with their cackling! Since the location is great for morning walks, completely ruined my sleep cycle and morning thereafter.
