    What's Good: Beautiful property, nice facilities

    What needs to improve : Two things - 1. Food - Huge scope of improvement. Need to get a top chef there as the prices are 5-star but the food does not live up the standard.

  • A walk in the woods !

    A lot of trees makes you feel you are in a forest and the ambiance is suitably built up with breakfast available in the open. The villa rooms are spacious and the maintenance is good. The food at all the outlets is excellent. The only drawback seems to be a complete absence of views. Overall, a good place to unwind and relax which we did for a couple of days without stepping out of the resort.

    I went with my wife to stay in this beautiful property for 2 nights... we reached around 2-2.30pm and were welcomed by Shailesh at the reception.. after a quick check in we were taken to our room in a buggy... After we Stepped in the beautifully designed room with a lovely tub in the bathroom we fell in love with this place .... the room was very clean and there were two mineral water bottles in the room and we were told that we could take as much water we need which was not chargeable... We had taken a package of breakfast n dinner from Cleartrip... we saw the whole resort n I fall short of words to explain in detail this beautifully done up place which has everything u can think of... In the evening they serve tea for all guests along with bhel, cookies and rusk.. at 5.00 pm The staff is very polite n courteous... they really take care of their guests very well..... special mention to veishene... who was there to greet all guests with a smile n take them to their tables for breakfast n dinner... very courteous girl... then Yugansh Verma the bartender who helped us select the drinks at the bar longitude 73... he was good too... I saw Vikram chorge on his toes looking after all guests with a smile...I can just go on n on praising all the staff at this resort... there are many recreational activities as well... one can do something or the other at this resort n not get bored at all... Didnt feel like leaving this place but check out was done by Ganesh who was quick too... This resort is blessed by very good staff who know how to take care of their guests... I guess hospitality is their motto... Any ways had an amazing time n will definitely visit this place again...

    I am writing this review in my running stay with family. Property is just excellent, even though it's forest area they have maintained it very well that you don't feel any uncomfortness once. Coming to the food, food is really good in taste, i have never seen so much desserts options in veg in any property i had visited. Service in latest recipe restaurant is next level, staff & chef is so friendly that you feel like home atmosphere. I cant complete my review without praising one person, Mr. Inder is so supportive and friendly, even we did late check in and requested end moment lunch with so many special reqI am writing this review in my running stay with family.     I have written a long review, below are 5 points for someone whos looking for quick takeaways. 1. Although the overall property is amidst the forest which is really good, there are no views from any room which is really disappointing. I would go to a hill station for the views it offers, but here there are no views. 2. If you are a local (in and around Pune and Mumbai), this place is probably worth visiting, but otherwise, it makes no sense for anyone to travel from other cities to visit the place. 3. Cannot compare this with properties like Taj, Leela, etc. This is comparable to a 4-star property. 4. Poor customer service especially from the management. Great customer service makes up for any faults, but here, unfortunately, the management is arrogant and is not receptive to feedback. You raise an issue to management, they are not going to even bother looking into it. 5. Places like Taj - the complete team is aligned to provide great customer service, but here you see a mix of team members with a great attitude and some who dont care. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Below is a detailed review. Location - this property is amidst the forest which is really good. Maintenance of the property is 3/5. Check-in - when you try to check into the property, we felt that theres less human touch. They have asked for the details and have given us the keys. We then got into a buggy and helped ourselves to go to the room. We felt that this was like a self check-in experience. All the resorts that we had been to had someone accompany us to the room, given us a quick tour of the property which made us feel really comfortable. Buggy - out of 6 times we raised the requests, only 2 times we got the buggy. The rest times, we waited for about 20 mins and then left the place. Unreliable. Duty manager - we wanted to go around the property for a quick tour in the morning, but the duty manager called us telling that all the buggys are busy and will call us at 4pm to arrange for the property tour. He promptly called us at 4pm and has arranged for the tour. Great customer service. Service - we had mixed experience about the service. We had a few staff members who have gone beyond what they are required to make us comfortable. At the same time, we had staff who did not allow us to sit in a 4 seater table since we were only 2 when the restaurant was only 5% occupied. Reservations team - horrible experience. They are not even aware of basic email etiquette. I found them to be rude in the email conversations. Inspite of priority case, I had to chase after them to receive any response. They need training. Restaurants/Bars Latitude - Amazing staff. Polite. Understands the requirements and willing to make tweaks as per your taste. Breakfast - Spread is less, however, the dishes were tasty. Service was average. Although the staff were polite, felt that they need training including the managers who were overseeing things. Woods - great experience. Amazing staff and managers. Multi cuisine restaurant - the tastes were not to our liking. However, chef Kiran tried his best by making dishes to our liking. He has made a couple of dishes for every meal to our liking. Thank you so much Kiran. Management attitude To be honest, worst management that I have come across. They do not have the right attitude for customer service. * Airport transfers - I was quoted about 15k for round trip transfers for an Innova. They did not even share any other option and since Im particular about an SUV, I did not even ask for the details of any other options. Since this was really on the higher side, I asked for a discount. They brought this down to 9k after talking to the manager. I thanked the manager for this and accepted the offer. To my surprise, they have sent a small sedan. They basically tried to cheat us by saying that the price is discounted for me, but ended up providing a different category of vehicle without any communication. After reaching the resort when I told the manager about the same, his attitude was - "no, I checked with my staff and they said that they have not promised any type of vehicle". I then told that they clearly mentioned that its an Innova for which he disagreed and told that is not the case. I told him to pull up the recordings and verify. When a customer is saying that they have promised an Innova, you dont believe your customer and only believe your staff? You claimed that youve given me a discount - changing the vehicle category is discount to you? This is nothing but cheating. Then I met GM who has agreed their mistake and has offered return Innova drop and has waived off the charges for the pick up. *We had opted for an all meal package in our booking. GM has offered one of our meals in the woods restaurant and when we had shared concern that the food is not to our liking and told that Kiran has agreed to make us some dishes, he said that we could get any dishes that we want from that restaurant as part of our meal package.This is a nice gesture. I thank the GM for this. *The views from the room are terrible. Theres basically no view. The view is obstructed by the trees. Both my wife and I are unhappy about it. Although I brought this up 3 times with the manager, he has just been giving templatized answers. I even requested him to move us to a better view room for just a day. No sign of consideration. Probably they all the better view rooms are booked, but the way the manager communicates will make you be really pissed off. I believe that its all about how you communicate, but here the communication even makes things worse. It makes you feel that they dont care about the guests. *Chef has made a special dish for us (which was not to our liking). When I met the manager in the restaurant, he enquired about the dish and we told him that it was ok. If I were a manager, I would understand why its just ok and what else we could do to make the guest happy. But here the manager just did not care. Then the next day, the chef has asked about the special dish that he has made. We shared the same feedback that it was ok to which he asked more questions and has prepared a new dish for us the next day. This is exactly what you would expect as a guest. This was a great sign and we truly appreciate this. But unfortunately, this has not come from the manager but from a chef where the manager did not even try to take any feedback. What a shame. I honestly did not come across any manager who doesnt act on the customer concerns. Through out my experience, I had only seen managers who acts on the issues and does everything possible to address the issue. Here its unfortunately different.

  • Best place to stay in Mahabaleshwar

    Serene and sophisticated place located in sprawling forest. The best place for a premium getaway in mahabaleshwar without a doubt. Sumptuous and scrumptious food. Great rejuvenating spa and pool. Also the hospitality. Special mention for Shailesh on front desk which made our stay more comfortable.
