    What's Good: Ambience

What needs to improve : Good place

Reason For Rating : Overall ambiance is good but quality of staffs needs to be improved. They are giving respect only by who looks rich and royal.. best example is me.. i was sitting with my wife at the reception and few more families also sitting at the same time.. one restaurant guy came and gave welcome drinks to all but he not even consider us..all are paying the charge so all are needs to be treated equally...

  • Great Resort by the beach

Good resort and comfortable stay. We stayed here for 3 nights during the Puja holidays. The duplex room was large, clean and stylish. Strategically located and best suited to see all the important tourist spots. The restaurant was very clean and neat, good food and courteous staff right all around. The open reception has got some nice cozy seating. Strict procedures were followed due to Covid 19. The pool looks good and quite long, unfortunately we were not allowed to use. The offer buggy service to the beach, the beach was clean and is amazing to play as the water is very shallow here. They have activities like kite flying, football, badminton, volleyball etc which the kids enjoyed. Special mention about Mr. Pranith who helped me right from the booking till the check out, Thank you Pranith for being courteous and being so helpful. and a special mention to Mr Vinoth who is managing the restaurant and the bar for his suggestions on food and being a nice gentleman and his always smiling nature. Thank you Vinoth. and lastly Thank you team Grandebay for having us. Overall a pleasant stay and recommend readers to pay a visit and experience the luxury at affordable prices and dont mind myself visiting again.

  • Worst treatment by Hotel Manager

    by nitingsinghani on

Just by having your resort next to Radisson, with decent infrastructure won't make you Radisson until your staff works on their soft skills and courtesy. Even though you might have done 10 good things for your customers but one bad experience/behavior will ruin all the good things done and something similar happened to me and my family during my stay. Moved over to Grande Bay after staying 2 days in Radisson Blu with my family(wife and 2 young kids), warm welcome, little small but decently built property, decent rooms things were going fine, food was good. But the following things irked us to the core and forced me to write such a bad review : - First day while checking in your staff tells me Sir, here are 2 water bottles and dental kit we don't provide by default but we can give if required...I was like wow. - I had booked with MAP plan, having breakfast and dinner included, surprisingly dinner was not a buffet but it was a fixed menu with choices. To avoid wasting the food we ordered half portions of starters so that we can repeat if we like it. After that when we asked them to bring more, we were given weird looks and were told that as we are working with reduced staff due to COVID-19, it is getting delayed and they served the main course, the starters never arrived which clearly proves that there was no intention to bring it back. Kudos for such a trained staff. - Worst thing happened while checking out, I was handed over a bill of Rs. 89 for one bottle of water provided during the dinner(without even us asking for the same) which was totally ridiculous. I mean after having a wonderful experience with Radisson and paying almost 75% rent for not even 50% of the experience, you'll charge me for 1 extra bottle of water? And even if you charge, take it on MRP, 89 Rupees for one bottle of water? We didn't keep a count of how much water we were drinking and how many bottles we ordered in Radisson but we never paid a single penny extra for anything. On confronting the manager, it was least expected that out of courtesy, we should speak politely and sort out the matter. But Mr Alexander the great, feeling himself of his name self, said Sir, you have to pay and we can charge any amount for the water as per rules and you'll have to pay and all that. It's up to you sir, either you pay or I'll have to pay from my pocket. I never expected to hear such words from the staff of such a place which boasts of a 5 star experience. Doesn't even look like a 3 star property to me. People choose such properties for the experience and expect courtesy from the staff and not for such a disrespectful behavior. Because of this, I would never recommend anyone to visit this place because after everything, self respect is something which can't be compromised. First of all you are overcharging and looting customers for no reason and on top you are giving a bill without mentioning water in that, and then such a harassment, spoiled all the mood. Good that I chose this place towards the end of the vacation.

  • Great place for couples!

Looking for a cozy, relaxing romantic getaway? This is the goto place for sure. Reasonably priced and well maintained resort. Even though it is not connected to the beach directly, a 5 min walk would take you to a well maintained beach. The swimming pool is one of the main attractions of the resort and it is huge. Food is also good and reasonably priced. Staff courtesy is appreciable.
