I booked a room in Tun l'Hotel House Boat its amazing experience to share. Breakfast is absolutely free the hospitality in this hotel is amazing. This one of the best hotels I have ever visited. The rooms are neat and tidy. Service in this hotel is up to the mark. I will rate Tun l'Hotel House Boat with 5 stars.

We at first stopped here just for some drinks (and the 'facilities', as we had left Pondi that morning). Their outside dining areas were charming, and the menu was interesting, so we ordered a light lunch. The food was quite good, but unfortunately the crab specialy took much longer than we had anticipated (were expected elsewhere...). We took a walk around while waiting - the pool is large and looked clean, the grounds were well-tended. The Bay of Bengal is just across the street!

This restaurant is around 3 km away from Mahabalipuram, near Tiger Caves and we happened to stop to the restaurant for a lunch. And its my worst experience ever as a restaurant. 1. They don't have a proper place to park cars. 2. The restaurant only understand Tamil Language and nothing other. 3. The fight among themselves to decide availability and price of food mentioned in menu cards. Its like the waiters themselves don't know what food is available and what is not. 4. Food is pathetic, spicy and almost not eatable.On top of that they will constantly ask you to complete it fast and give the bill as if we are leaving the restaurant without paying. 5. Bizzare service, they even dont know they once they deliver the food to table, they also need to serve it to plate. 6. For cards they take a 2.5% extra and will provoke you to pay through cash only. I found nobody staying or dining in the restaurant when I visited in a peak season. Its a very bad experience and I will suggest to avoid it.

We had a great time in this resort. Food quality is average. Staffs are friendly enough. Good privacy for family and couples . Cool swimming pool. Planning for a next trip ... Staffs will expect tips (asusual) ..

First of all, this place has nothing to do in the B&B category. It's an basic hotel. It should be moved to the hotel category by TA team. Rooms are very basic, not correctly clean, and even the sheets you don't want to know when was the last time they were correctly cleaned. None has sea view! When we arrived there with 2 kids, in the evening, we wanted to wash them but no the hot water was not available. I tried for 10 minute to have hot water, letting the water run, but it was still cold. I called somebody, who told me I had to wait more... (more than 10 minute). He did so but obviously no hot water came. Then he tried to find some excuse, from broken pipe to monkey destroying the solar panel. Then, he told us that he would bring us 2 buckets of hot water... We asked him if it was like that in the other room (empty) and he said no, so we suggested him to change the room. So he did. But of course the problem was the same everywhere. When we moved to the other room, after having waited 30 min, I decided to go myself to pickup clean sheet to make the beds. The management told me that I should not go down, and I should just call them. When I said that I have been waiting already 30 min, that I had children that wanted to sleep, and that do not want to wait more, so I came, I told me "there is no urgency, your kids can wait 5 min".... I think It's not the manager of and empty hotel with 6 personnel chatting in the reception instead of helping me that should teach me how to manage my kids... But of the 6 people at the reception, no one was in charge of the sheets... Well, after insisting a bit, I was given sheets, and nobody proposed himself to help me. Breakfast was very basic, and the waiter didn't stop telling us that he was normally on Holliday and that he came just for us... On the morning (we stayed 2 nights), the cleaning guy told us "you room was cleaned yesterday, so no cleaning today" Well, first I didn't ask anything, secondly It was NOT cleaned the day before (or even the week before). When we came back in the evening, even before we went to the room, the same guy asked us "was your room cleaned today? do you have toilet paper inside?" well, I think I should be the one asking him that kind of question, not him to me! Very VERY bad experience. The location: far from the beach et far from the town. so no interest at all.
