the resort is between the national park and a tea garden. only thing that separates it from park is the fence of park. you can even see occasional rhino and peacock from resort. excellent place to stay. but just see that you take AC room only in summer.

We were a family of 3 and had booked the Grazing Rhino room. Of all resort around the park, this one definitely stood out for ambiance , courteous staff, room size, hygiene etc. Pros : 1. The resort is very conveniently located near to main gate of the national park. 2. They arrange Jeep Safaris with pickup from the hotel reception area 3. A big play area for kids 4. The restaurant is inside the resort, and food was simple, but hygienic. We were served authentic north indian style rotis (we normally only find rotis made out of maida elsewhere) 5. Early morning, you can spot peacocks roaming around the cottages. Cons: 1. I found the resort a little bit expensive with around 7K for one night with only breakfast included. They should have all meals included packages at that price. 2. Kids play area had broken see saws, blocked slides and a wooden serpent with nail jutting out, so had to keep a watch over my son 3. For dinner, we were asked to place our order earlier than usual as there weren't much visitors and they were planning to shut it down early Jeep Safari : We opted for afternoon Jeep Safari (@ around 3.5k) as the it was drizzling when we reached. And we could spot elephant herd, rhino herd, bison, tusker, turtles, migratory birds, golden langur & other monkeys, wild bulls, peacock etc. The higlight of the safari was definitely the stop by the banks of Manas River, near to the mathanguri check post. It is a very scenic location at the foothills of Indo-Bhutan border and only Jeep Safaris can take you there.

The Musa Jungle Retreat sits at the edge of Manas National Park. This is a lovely space with cottages scattered around the property. The gardens are filled with flowers and trees and sitting on your patio, listening to the birds calling with a cup of Assam tea is an absolute delight. I will return to Musa on my next visit to Manas.

The location of the hotel is very close to the entry gate of the forest. The hotel arranges jeep drive for you. It is a five seater jeep and if you are prepared to sit near the driver six can go in a jerp. The hotel atmosphere is too good with tea estate on one side. Walking inside the hotel premises in the evenings makes you fresh. The complimentary breakfast is tasty but you have few choices. The cost of food items in the restaurant is very moderate. Go for the jeep ride in the early morning hours so that you can spot lot of animals and birds. Ithe takes four hours for the jerp drive and so inform them early about your time of breakfast. Overall I would like to stay again and will also recommend it for my friends.

We were 6 person and booked 3 Striped Panthera rooms. No AC but the price we paid was very reasonable. The staff were very heplful and organised our 3 Jeep safari, river rafting on Manas river and a guide for bird watching. Breakfast was reasonable and evening meals were value for money. We enjoyed the indian food. Superior rooms with AC are available but cost a bit more. The gardens and surrounding area were well maintained. Resort is located near the entrance to the National Park Satish Shah UK
