Mangan Hotels

Mangan, located at an elevation of 956 m, is the largest town of Sikkim. It is 67 km from Gangtok, the capital of the state. Famous for its misty mountains and splendid terrains, the place is visited by thousands of tourists not only from India but also from other countries. Most of the tourists travel to Mangan to soothe their mind and enjoy a sojourn in the lap of mother nature. Having all the required facilities, it makes tourist's stay full of comfort and leisure.
The town is famous for its three day music festival that is organised in December. In this festival, a number of bands from Mangan as well as other north-eastern areas compete with each other for the prize. Mangan is also renowned for its Yumthang Valley, from where tourists can behold stunning vistas of surroundings. A hot spring in this valley forms an integral part of Mangan sightseeing and therefore must be visited, while on a Mangan tour.
Whilst enjoying a sojourn in Mangan, tourists must not forget to visit the Labrang Monastery, which is commonly known as Labrang Tashi Khyil. It is an abode of the biggest number of monks outside Tibet Autonomous Region. Shingba Rhododendron Sanctuary is another popular attraction around Mangan. It houses more than forty plant species and is therefore a favoured destination of nature lovers.
Reaching Mangan is quite convenient as it well-connected through different transportation modes. Tourists prefer to visit Mangan from February to May or from September to December as the atmosphere becomes exuberant during these months.
