This was my 10th visit to the resort and I am sure many more awaited in coming years yet I am not tired or bored of this place. De Rock and Sudeesh(the owner) are very close to heart and warmth and service the entire team offer will blow you apart from many other things to boast of . The scenic location, the ambiance of each types of rooms of the resort (I have used all by now), the food, the peace and tranquility of the surrounding, the feel of being in a countryside everything some how fit perfectly and makes it a perfect gateway place. The proximity to the Mudumalai & Bandipur Tiger Reserve and Ooty on one side makes it a very strategic ally placed resort to opt.You may find may five star resorts for their arrangements, standard but this place is truly five-star + for the way the feel you get once you have stayed here. Thanks Sudeesh and team. You have made this Anniversary outing of our's even more special for being a great host one more time ...

First of all this place is for nature loving people. It is very peaceful and calm.... No disturbance whatsoever.... Food was great, staff were welcoming..... Rooms were clean and well maintained..... A great place to settle for 2 to 3 nights, but keep yourself occupied and bring your own vehicle to travel and experience the jungle and surroundings.... I wish De Rock a great success for the days to come... Regards, Ram & Swetha

This resort is in Masinagudi Sholur. We stayed there in second week of Dec 2017. (5.5 kms from Masinagudi, Sholur Village. You take a right from Masinagudi after 2 kms that lead to this resort or Jungle living as they call it.) Once you go near you got to park your vehicles if any and then use their 4x4 for around a km to go to de Rock (You can use this including return once for free). We three people went (Bachelor trip) Stayed in Bison cottage. Decent stay (For three people 4500 + 18% GST). Small rooms, The communication between rooms and main deck is very limited and they provide no intercomm facility or similar manager no is not listed in the room. you got to call and wait for them for anything. We ordered food for night. Decent food but is costly. The fare is inclusive of breakfast and that is good. You don't have much option in Masinagudi. If you are a mess paratha fan you can try at SSA Mess at the masinagudi intersection. Basket ball court could have been maintained. Watch tower is not accessible. Thought they could have a pitch for cricket (Like just a pitch for cricket lovers). Heavy built up for the tiger and elephant sighting but we were not able to see even a bison. This is kind of Joke is masinagudi. But it is inside jungle there may be chance to experience animal sighting. Very calm peaceful environment which is free from noise pollution.

Stayed as part of group tour. Resort set in countryside near tiger sanctuary. Great views and quiet. Getting there by jeep along terrible bumpy tracks. Nothing else nearby so it's a good place to get away from city life. However on arrival the place seems very unkept. Cigarette butts at the entrance high grass everywhere and rocky poorly lit paths to bungalows. The rooms are quite good roomy with hot water shower. Extra blankets are helpful for the cold nights. The breakfast was poor and overpriced and the meals at night likewise. So OK for 1 night but could do better elsewhere.

By far this is one of the best experiences I have enjoyed while traveling. The property is in the jungle as the name claims. We could see lot of deers within a few yards away from us almost every time during our stay. My nephew and niece freaked out with that kind of experience. The place is very well situated and has all the facilities that's essential for a good stay. The manager Sudheesh was of great help too. If one plans to stay at Masinagudi there can't be a better option than this. Highly recommended place to stay.
