Stayed in a bungalow. Clean rooms, hot showers, comfy beds, friendly, helpful staff. The Pool View bungalows also have an excellent view of the hills. Being British we wanted an 'early supper' (7 pm) and the chef came in specially for us.The two restaurants (veg and non-veg) gave us good meals. The hotel provided a taxi to take us to Mudumalai for the morning jeep safari. Recommend getting to Mudumalai for 6:30 a.m. to get the best chance of seeing wildlife. The muezzin called us to prayer at 4:45 a.m. Use it as a chance to pray to whichever God you pray to, or just thank God you are not religious and can turn over and get a bit more kip!

Our weekend stay at Safari Land tree house was wonderful. It was a surprise trip on my daughter's 18th birthday and it was worth it! The tree house was excellent and as natural as possible. The sounds of the forest and the river flowing by were very soothing, far from the maddening crowd, to say the least! The staff was cordial and friendly. There was a wide variety in the meals served and the dishes were delicious. I had requested for a birthday cake and decorations, the staff did a wonderful job of it, using leaves, flowers and grass and lots of candles! The cake was good too. They also have outdoor games to play. The morning trek to the nearby hillock was nice. We were fortunate to meet the owner Mr. Shiakat Ali Khan and his family, they are such nice, down to earth people. On the whole it was an awesome, leisurely trip, where no one was in a hurry to do anything or go anywhere.

Stayed for three days at Safari Land Jungle Tree house and 2 days in their facility in the town. I felt like a guest at someones house and not like staying in some hotel. First of all stayed with the entire Nawab family (who owns it) who are royal family members from the yesteryears glorious India. The food they ate is what we ate, unlike some of the other place where I saw its a different treatment for guests and property owners. These folks know how to no they excel at their cooking especially the mutton and chicken are all bred local is what I understood and they have the natural feed and when they are cooked (sorry Vegetarians please forgive me) and served tastes heavenly. If food was one thing, the hospitality and the achievements of the owners (father and son) having hunted rogue/man eating wild life and saving the lives of many and being handsomely reqwarded by Indian Government on many occasions is very inspiring. Common we have read of Jim Corbet and his exploits.... how many of us have all seen a rel life hunter who has hunted man eaters.... i was having goose bumps when I met Mr. Nawab Shafath Ali Khan and his son who have independently killed some rogue ones and have played a vital part in conservation of our national treasure the wild life and have helped in maintaining a balance....please visit, read their books and talk to them you will understand. Finally the place is located at the foot hills of the jungle, though there are no views (which is there in their property in the town- in fact its a beautiful one) has beautiful tree houses. It was amazing to see giant squirrels, bisons, deers, other wild life around us in the day and night. Try and maintain calm and enjoy the food, the warm hospitality and the stay. Dont expect anything fancy... which other places offer without being relevant to nature. Definitely will stay again and enjoy. BTW lots of foreign tourist visit this place in particular and have good stories to tell around the camp fire every night.. try it out if you want out of the civilized environment experience and with a royal family who are down to earth..... Have made some videos and posted in Youtube.... name of the channel is - South Indian Sara Pls. do subs cribe..and share channel is to promote kids travelling and make all know India is safe for girl children to travel. We had booked 2 tree houses and the place was quite peaceful and lush green. It was a good stay although the price could have been better than what we had paid. Food was just OK, not much to complaint but what we liked the most is the behavior of support staff - very good!!! I would love to come back here. Few suggestions.. few more trekking & safari options, improve choice of music during camp fire.. and improve choice on food. Since the hotel is situated in / close to forest.. a natural swimming pool in forest atmosphere would be great!!!

A well spend weekend in SAFARI Land Resorts. We were accommodated in Safari Land individual villas which made it worth. We had lot of fun in the resort. Resort provides best in class service. A wonderful atmosphere at the foothills of Nilgiris. Manager to service room boys were very friendly and helpful. The best part in this resort is the food they are providing. It's Yummy! Thanks Safari Land and team.
