We'd planned at the last minute to stay at masinagudi and this was one of the home stays that still had bookings open. I took the gamble thinking 89 reviews was good enough. And, i was wrong. I'll start with the positives 1. Location was good. Relatively speaking to their service 2. None Negatives 1. Big trust buster - the manager recommends to take a jeep to go to the nearby maya river where one can take bath and charges Rs. 1000 (from the initial (Rs. 1200). Firstly, there was no need of a jeep and secondly it's not a place where you can take bath. Predominantly, most of the tourists had taken their own vehicle. 2. They don't provide you with towels. Yes, you read it right! You need to keep asking endlessly and they provide you with 2 for 5 guests. 3. The dinner buffet menu is ridiculously short and they charge a whopping Rs. 450/pax 4. Breakfast - a la carte has dosas in it but they don't serve as they don't have the required utensils for it. 5. No power for a good part of the day 6. They charge Rs. 500 for the bon fire! Highly recommend the owners of the property to look into the activities of the people who are running this. Travelers, please stay away!

We went on last month with our 2 year old kid. Our stay was cool. We enjoyed the environment and ambiance of the house. Rooms were clean and good and we have more space for children to play there and they have volleyball court. We had non veg Food and it was so nice and they are giving good varieties .My son enjoyed the food .Friendly & and so helpful Staff . location is pretty .Definitely will go for next time. They have charged 4500rs per family including food and stay.

We visited Masinagudi and stayed at this place last month. We had booked through purple rain holidays, but were told that no information had reached the property owner about our arrival. Anyways after the initial dismay and confusion, things fell in place, we got a room and people were sent to take care. It is a serene location, nice homely ambience and food. On the flip side some maintenance is badly required, the bathroom fittings were coming out, the sheets and towels were provided only on request and these too were not too clean. I am pointing this out because we had paid a good price for our stay so expected a better deal. The staff is courteous and friendly and food has home made flavour although not great, I am not sure if non vegetarian food is better as being vegetarians we didn't try those.

I went to Masinagudi with my family last week, and stayed at Whispering Windows for about 2 days.. I must say, the location is pretty great and the place is nice too. The highlight of the place is the hosts who made it memorable. Extremely gentle, down to earth and friendly people! Rooms were good, clean and the food was very homely and simple. All in all, it was a good stay. Points to improve: cleaner bathrooms ( it smelt a little bad when we entered the room, and continued to stink after a complaint as well ), More varieties of fruits and dessert ( not very important, but necessary to please the guest after his/her meal) Overall: I truly recommend this place for the location, the feel of the stay, hosts and of course the fresh homely food that you get!!! big thumbs up Mr and Mrs Suresh :) Kudos to your efforts!!
