What's Good: Pros: Absolutely great experience in Terms of Location, Food, Staff Behavior, etc. All the staff are very customer friendly. Magic Show was entertaining Cons: Swimming Pool Timings are very limited (10-1 & 3-6). Management should reconsider the extension of Time Food type is limited to Gujarati. Variety needs to be tested

We visited during december month 2019 Experience was really good Rooms were maintained in good manner Staff behaviour was friendly and polite too Food was also good Only the thing is hot water was supplied for particular time period As people are on vacation and they don't expect to bath too early So hot water should be provided for whole day But apart from this we really enjoyed in Adamo The Village Near the pool side In disco In outdoor games too:)
Very Beautiful Place.

Do not book this hotel
by Pareshmaisha on
Hello I had been to this hotel on my birthday. Me and my wife with my 3.5 years old kid had booked this hotel through a agent. On arrival to my shock they started arguing with me over the kids charges. To which I rejected as they quoted 2200rs for my kid who is just 3.5 years. The room they charge is 4500 for a couple but for a kid charges are equal to a adult. No where I seen this high charges. I requested them to revise the charges to which they started arguing. They started telling it's the company policy to charge any kid above 2years. They even denied me my room keys till I paid the charges. I was not provided with a receipt for the charges i paid. Some of the locals stated it is common to loot the tourist if they book through agents. No where any hotel charges for any kids below 5 years. The kids are complimentary. But the case of adamo is completely different. If you are travelling with your children please do not book this hotel. Or plz check the policies of this hotel. I would request to check other hotels near by. Date of check in. 28th Sept Hasmukh kothari
Worst Hotel and Rude Staff
by HarryTravelGuru on
I won't recommend this hotel to anyone. I would have given negative remarks if available to this hotel. No Proper rooms toiletries, Staff least concerned about any complaints, restaurant manager was rude, no telephone, no buckets, etc list is never ending. Spiderwebs in the room. I have attached an photo of this spiderwebs. We booked 2rooms for 2 days but we checked out in one day only it was that pathetic.
check if they have any policies defined for smokers or be adjustable to accept smoke

Not many 3 star hotels in Matheran offer old-fashioned and rustic charm the way Adamo The Village does. The resort is set to a rustic theme and stands amidst the peaceful and lush green environs of the Western Ghats. Family, honeymooners and backpackers alike prefer this property to experience a retreat away from the city life. Nestled right at the heart of Matheran, Adamo The Village (formerly known as the Riviera) is located at a walking distance from the market in the city yet away from the hustle and bustle. The architecture and decor of the Village take inspiration from the erstwhile British era and present a picture of splendour and romance. Between cosy rooms to elegant suites, the hotel carries 49 rooms in three categories. All the rooms are spacious and appointed with necessary amenities for a comfortable stay blending quaint rusticity and modern comfort. Talk about the food and the restaurant - Atithi Devo Bhava serves mouth-watering recipes from Indian and Chinese cuisine. At the spa, step into the world of wholesome wellness and allow your body to rejuvenate and your mind refreshed.
A picturesque hill station, 43 km off Mumbai, Matheran is one of the few places in India where entry of vehicles is not allowed. It means that the only means of transport in the city is either on horseback, rickshaw or foot. Choose your means of commute and start exploring the town like a local. Blessed with immense natural beauty, Matheran is replete with several hill points, cliffs, waterfalls, lakes and tableland views. While you are in Matheran, be sure to visit Doodhani Falls where the water comes rushing from a rocky slope. Visiting Charlotte Lake at dawn is highly recommended if you love birdwatching. The lake is also the primary source of water for people in the city. Make a stop at Louisa Point, situated on a plateau and an ideal spot to get unparalleled views of Vishalgad and Prabalgad forts . This place is also a great rock climbing venue. Climb up to the Echo Point and shout out your name and hear your voice reverberate. The vantage point is also good to get some breathtaking views of the Western Ghats. For more on Matheran, go on a scenic ride in the Heritage Matheran Toy Train. The 21 km ride of 2.5 to 3 hours runs over some stunning forest territory. Last yet not least, one has to experience shopping in Matheran. For starters, head to the Mall Road. You will find local handicrafts and other artistic items. Don’t forget to take home the traditional Kolhapuri footwear of Maharashtra.
