I wish I could give it a negative rating. The owner is extremely rude and impolite. Some of the boys in the staff are highly unprofessional and not disciplined. They have a very casual attitude towards their guests.their staff misbehaved with us and the owner had nothing to say. He was happy to loose us. We were 11 people and had booked 5 rooms. We ordered variety of coffees. When the staff brought our first order we asked what is this. The staff answered latte order Kiya hai to latte hi hoga na... It was recurring. The staff also passed unprofessional remarks. We were stunned to see the callous attitude. Upon raising the issue, the owner casually said if you want to go you can go. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!!

We recently stayed at Green hotel for 6 nights. The location is handy from the McLeod Ganj bus stop, around 3/4 mins walk. Our room was a good size, had a decent bathroom with hot water and quite a nice view. Be careful leaving your balcony door open when you go out as we did spot a monkey on our balcony one day. The hotel has a cafe/restaurant attached to it and you can also order from here and have it delivered to your room. Check out is at 12pm however we werent catching our bus until 7.30pm and this was a nice comfy place to relax in until we left. My only let down was that we did some laundry here and it was so pricey! 1000 rupees for 2 plastic shopping bags of clothes. So Id recommend finding somewhere else to have laundry done.

I called this hotel as i wanted to check its location. Some lady picked up and without knowing why i called she said "we dont take bookings oh phone ok, go to bookig.com'". And that lady was exrremely rude. Seems like good online rating got into her head...Then she hung up. Shows the quality of staff and vibe this hotel must be having. Hope they see this review and work on their communation

The warm lobby of Green Hotel was one of the nicest parts of my trip to McLeod. The furniture is comfortable and too close together, making it difficult not to talk to or overhear the other travelers. The people I met were from Europe and the US mostly, or Israelis traveling in groups. They were backpacking or doing meditation and yoga in town. There are books and newspapers you can borrow. Their teas are good and large. The background noise was busy and pleasant. Some people would sit for hours inside the lobby or outside on the veranda. Outside I saw monkeys and cats on the roofs of the adjacent buildings. This is the kind of hotel you could spend a lot of time working or reading.
