What's Good: Location is good, property is kept clean most of the time. Staff are courteous . But food quality need lot of improvement , even for our Indian dishes. They don't have practice to provide receipt for services (food, extra bed, etc), need to increase transparency here.

What's Good: If someone is looking forward for a holiday away from the hum-drum of life and wants peace, this is the place to be in. The hotel is located in a village ahead of the Dharamsala Cantt.

Being a hilly hotel in Himachal Pradesh, the amenities off season tourists expect are not available. Rooms with double occupancy are very in very compact size, bath room was spacious but with no toiletteries, even tissue paper was given on demand, Water heater was there. Except double bed there was only ne small table with one chair. There was no luggage rack. Wardrobe was half and cramped. For two persons the space and furniture was inadequate. Breakfast items were sparse and minimal.Being seniors, we did not like the Parantha -Chana /Patato preparation so we confined to bread ommleette. Dinner was confined to two fixed vegetables ,Dal and Rice/ Fruit of any kind or desert was not available

Posted a review of Hotel Ana Clarke Chandigarh yesterday and to say we were disappointed would be an understatement. Today we checked into Hotel Nandini Residency in Dharamshala. Both of these hotels were booked by Thomas Cook, who made not only our reservations at these hotels but also organised our flight tickets. This is only the second day of our tour and we are having a torrid time. Let me tell you something about Nandini Residency. I am sure you will think twice before making your reservation here or choosing Thomas Cook as your travel partner. Day 2 of our tour. Today we checked into the hotel Nandini Residency in Dharamshala. It was freezing cold and the temperature was 0 degrees Celsius. The front desk told us we would have to pay for the heater, which we agreed to. The heater was installed and the hotel staff informed us it would take time for the room to heat up. We went down for dinner but when we came up after an hour our room was still freezing cold. We complained to the hotel staff about the heating but all he had to say was, itna he hoga. Secondly, its a norm that hotels provide two bottles off drinking water per day. The staff here refused to provide it at first but after requesting them, the finally provided a bottle. We had to pay for all the other bottles we ordered. Thirdly, you can either use very hot water or very cold water to shower. There was no facility to mix water and have a proper shower. We ended up filling hot water in a bucket and utilising a mug to bathe. Our experience with Thomas Cook has been disastrous right from the word Go. We werent informed about the change in flight schedule, our experience at Ana Clarke Hotel was bad, with the shower running out of water and nobody to address the problem despite repeated phone calls. I dread to think whats in store for us during the remainder of this tour. Christopher Varel

Recently we stayed at this overly rated 3rd class hotel at Naddi. We got carried away with few positive reviews and on check in realised, these are surely orchestrated by Hotel Management. We stayed in thus hotel but had our food in the opposite hotel Kamal Residency. Rats are your constant companions at Buffet counters and plastic crate kept for placing plates post your dinner had filth in it. This was really scary and ended up eating only bread pieces for complimentary breakfast. With no.lift, climbing up The suite rooms on 3rd floor pose a challenge especially for elderly. The rooms are quite gaudy and geyser in bathroom works at its own will. Infact immediately upon check in, one of the families tried to shift from the hotel but lack.of rooms at other hotels, forced them to take an alternate room. All in all this hotel is a big let down (you will wonder who gave 4.2/5 rating as displayed at the tiny reception) upsets your vacation mood and recommended only to ones staunch to enemies.

We stayed in this hotel from 12 to 15th Nov 2018. Over-rated rooms. Premium rooms neither have a premium view nor a premium decor. We changed to a delux room ( on 3rd floor) which was better than the so called premium room. Poor food - Only couple of options and taste was not good. One could see rats running below the buffet dinner tables. That was enough to kill the appetite. Poor Infrastructure: They have a central water heater, which has limited capacity. So be prepared to get stranded in the bath if others guests also happen to take bath at the same time. Yes, In case you get stuck, the assistant would surely get you a bucket of hot water after repeated calls for 30 to 40 min. Does not have a lift... So be prepared to walk up and down. The only thing good about this hotel is that 1 or 2 family rooms have bunk beds which is a novelty for children

Worst Hotel ever stayed...We are a group of 7 families travelling from Jammu/ Katra/ Daramshala/ Dalhouse/ Amritsar. Nandini Residency Suite Rooms were in third floor...No lift. Suite rooms, one washroom was cramped with doors not proper and not able to stretch our hands (very Narrow). No hot water in one washroom. Rooms are poorly maintained. Food quality very bad, found rats running in the restaurant and stopped eating in this hotel. No Room heaters had to pay extra Rs. 400/-. Second day the Room heaters electric plug point was overheating with smoke, hotel guys changed the plug. I will never recommend this hotel to any travelers.
