An amazing place for a weekend trip, it is a must visit place for all those who want some good relaxation. Everything was good be it ambiance, hospitality, food or weather. Although the road almost 2 km is in very bad condition.

I stayed here with 5 other my other friends and we had more than enough space. The property is absolutely breathtaking, we spent hours on the porch just watching the clouds making the mountains and even right in front of us disappear and then minutes later reappear. On top of that the service was incredible! Sagar was an incredible driver, who made us feel safe in the hectic streets (Were Americans and our driving is much different), he was also very patient and knowledgeable at all of the many questions we had about our surroundings. While Sachin did an amazing job making us quite comfortable at the house, our meals were incredible and he and the rest of the crew were so accommodating to our needs. On one of the last nights the built us a fire and we sat around and talked about the differences and similarities of our cultures which we really enjoyed. And of course the hosts Minal and Alka from the very beginning were quick to answer questions and help in any way they could! Again thank you so much to the whole staff, I would HIGHLY recommend anybody traveling in this area, it was one of the highlights of our trip

We would like to thank Minal and her very helpful staff for great hospitality at birdsong home. The view from the deck appartment is stunning. We had 2 lovely walks around to the tea plantations and the forest. The appartment is comfi and causy. The food made in the restaurant was good. One should take into consideration that the place is remote, rain storm was followed by power failure of 24 hrs, WiFi is very slow at times, but all and all we had a wonderful experience!!

Entered the location at prescribed time but rooms were not ready. Anyways we were assured it will be made when me n my wife would be back from mirik excursion in couple of hours. Sadly even rooms had no key. When we asked for same, a lame excuse was given that guest had lost the same. But atleast they could have given us a spare one to keep our valuables intact. We had to place a mini almirah to lock the gates. Our were the most isolated to cottage and without locks at dead of night with no electricity one needs a lock atleast. When we came back to room the floor was messy as ever. The towel used by previous guest still laying on chair in balcony. The chair provided in balcony was broken. N toilet not clean as if some one just used it be fore we came. My wife got an asthma attack because of dusty blankets. Temperatures were running low as we had heavy rainfall that afternoon. Staffs take ages to arrive when called. As it was a medical emergency we asked for warm bathing water n pot of boiling water for serving her soup. Sadly bathing water was warmer than the pot of water. If this was not enough the rooms electric system were badly planned. There was no lights in the room to due heavy rain so the inventors were on. Sadly none Of the charging plug points were working so that we could charge our mobiles. With already my wife down with ashtma attack I had to live with zero connectivity in a jungle with highly unresponsive staff. We asked for candle night from the staff as invertors were drying out, but no one even received our calls n in turn they switched off their mobile when called on their mobile Sadly the caretaker refused to take my call and their staff switched off their mobile at a time when I needed the most. Practically zero hospitality, zero cleanliness and zero humanity
