What's Good: Location and property
What needs to improve : Room size... And not so well maintained equipments in room..
Reason For Rating : Location and property are very good.. But room category which we booked are quite small and have seen better days.. Many things are not working may be they are deprived of frequent maintainance . TV was not working.... Phone was not working for sometime.. Had to put good amount of effort to have the phone started...

What's Good: Only thing good about the hotel is its location and beautiful views. Rooms are not well maintained at all. Washrooms stink. Rooms are dirty. will not recommend.

We were visiting from New York. We checked reviews for this place on trip advisor and Google and called the number listed on their website to confirm availability. The person spoke in an irritated tone and asked us to call another number to check if something is available. We tried calling the landline number several times and nobody picked up the phone call. So we called the number on the website again (of Ms. Deepika Solanki as it says on the website) but she stopped picking up our phone call. We used another phone and called her and she angrily said there are no rooms available. People like this don't understand what being in service industry means and should be out of service. There are several other nicer hotels near nakki lake and polo garden.

We visited Mount Abu on a birding excursion with Kalpyso Birding (based in Kerala). We had become accustomed to their choosing excellent accommodations for us, and we were delighted with their choice of Jaipur House for Mount Abu. Other travellers have already submitted beautiful photos of its spectacular setting and attractive architecture. I have just added one, with the beautiful orange flower bushes that were in full bloom when we were there. We were there for birding, especially hoping to see the green avadavats that are not found in very many places, but which have a sanctuary in the Mount Abu area. Our guide knew where to find them, with the help of a local guide. So, we did see them. I have submitted a photo, along with photos of a few other birds that we saw at the same location (crested buntings, black redstarts, spotted owlet) and a photo of a blue rock thrush that we saw on the roadway up to Mount Abu.

Heritage hotel with good picturesque location, hospitality & services. Enjoyed my stay with family friends during year end 2017. Suite rooms are good worth staying however hot water service was very poor. Little over rated.

This hotel has 2 types of rooms. When booking online, avoid booking rooms in the newer wing which is actually not part of the main building. Its located 100 meters away from the main building in a dilapidated structure with absolutely no views. Hence, tariff will be cheaper for these rooms. Its better to pay a little more and stay in the original Jaipur House. Room: Very compact with a double bed and 2 cushioned chairs. The decor is kept to a minimal and has a good diffused lighting which adds to the beauty. From my room, I had the front view of the parking area. Considering the rooms are located almost at one storied height, even the room on the ground floor are located at a height. Bathroom: Comes with a bath tub. It was very neat, clean and tidy. For the first time, I saw a ceiling fan in a bathroom. Restaurant / Dining Area: Quite spacious with a bar. We had dinner here on 2 occasions and it was always perfect to our liking. The view from the dining area is very beautiful and the server very courteous to take care of your order. Hotel ground: The parking area is quite big. Dont miss going on the terrace of the hotel as it offers magnificent views of the lake Nakki, toad rock and its surroundings. Overall, the stay was very comfortable and cosy with lake Nakki, local market, Tibetan shopping market just 10 min walking distance away.

First impressions of this hotel are of a dominant position enjoying spectacular views overlooking Nakki Lake and the town. Our room was OK and spacious, but neither the bed nor the room had been prepared for new guests (dirty sheets and towels). A sharp complaint sorted that problem, but the episode seriously tarnished those first impressions. Dinner in the nondescript dining room was OK, but breakfast was disappointing. Service was generally acceptable. The whole place needs a shake-up so that at least those first impressions of a fine heritage building match the expectations thereby created. But we did enjoy our short stay ....
