We, group of 4 people, stayed at this beautiful property for the weekend. This hotel is located at only 30 minutes drive from Karjat station and is easily accessible. The road leading to hotel is pretty okay. The rooms were clean and staff was friendly. The pool was clean but small. They only serve pure vegetarian food which was tasty and hygienic. Overall, a lovely place to stay for relaxing.

We were a Habitat for Humanity team from Canada staying at the Satya for 10 days in January, 2013. The staff were so accommodating. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Food was amazing. The grounds are beautiful. Would recommend a stay here.

First the pros:-1) Close to Mumbai( max 1.5 hours by train) 2)Food tastes home cooked, simple and tasty 3)Good for a group trip as there are interconnected cottages and plenty of space in the resort 4) Simple indoor games like carrom/chess/TT available to while away time 5) the river Ulhas is very easily accessible from the resort and they organize boating, rafting etc The Cons 1) The food while tasty is based on a fixed menu of 2 sabzis, one dal, roti, rice and 1 dessert. If you are looking at variety or a la carte ,forget it 2)The rooms ,while huge are very basic in nature. We had to call for hot water to take a bath ( which is then dutifully delivered in one meagre bucket ) as they dont have an installed geyser 3)It is nearly impossible to step out of the resort without a vehicle as the access road is a bumpy village track surrounded by a jungle of sorts 4)We as a married couple visited the resort for " a break" but after some time the eerie silence in the resort gets to you.We were only one of three families residing in the resort ( during peak holiday season) 5)There is no activity organized within the resort in the evening to keep residents engaged( understandable given the no of visitors and the fact that most of the staff leaves for home in the evening!!) 6) For the very basic amenities and the limited food options,we felt it was a bit overpriced...Overall,the resort is recommended only if you are in a group and have your own sources of entertainment and not v fussy about food!

My stay at Atasa, brings to mind a relaxing weekend perfect to unwind and appease your soul just few hours away from the rut of the city that you find yourself in each day. The resort is a home away from home with good amenities, lush green landscape just outside the room and great homely food. A must visit for those who are looking to relax the mind and body while enjoying a pleasant stay. It is atypical in a sense as it is not a cliched commercial resort but rather a resort with a heart, with the comforts of a home and naturally beautiful surroundings (including a beautiful river flowing by the side) which sets its apart from the usual. - Jharna

Visited the resort with a few friends in the Spa package. The thing we absolutely loved was the location. The resort is on a plantation surrounded by trees and a river. The staff told us that they are goin to set up water stuff soon, like kayaking etc so that should be fun. We took two cottages which were connected from the inside. There was a water shortage in the evening, but it was fine in an hour. The food was good. The service in the restaurant was better. I think the chefs are new, but they gave us whatever we asked for. The massage was also a good way to start the day. They have those portable steam machines, not an entire room for steam, but it does the job. One last thing, wear comfortable shoes and take mosquito repellent! All in all it was a good weekend. May go with family later.
