What's Good: The people here were very friendly and the price is amazing..
What needs to improve : Nothing really, everything was quite. But this place suits only young people. The stairs are too narrow for older people
Reason For Rating : This place is really great.. Clean, neat and perfect for back packers.

What's Good: The Location and kitchen
What needs to improve : Staff was quite interfering and annoying which was uncomfortable. Few other female inmates also shifted to other hostel.
Reason For Rating : Actually the stay was quite uncomfortablehere and I had to.shift to another hostel the next day in morning. The staff here didn't respect the privacy of female dorm as they straight away enter inside the room without asking and few more othher things which cannot be.mentioned here.

Shaker and the crew are all legends. My girlfriend had a blonde moment and left her passport on the bed, we called up and Shaker got it off the bed and looked after it. Fun vibes, ultra comfortable bed and decent breakfast. Best hot shower Ive had in India and also has todem tennis!

Situated in a posh locality of Mumbai, Cohostel is my favourite hostel in India. Stayed here for a month and it always felt like home to me. I had a very safe and comfortable stay here. The staff is super generous and helpful. The food prepared in their kitchen is so good that you don't need to go out and eat. They plan a lot of entertaining events, gigs and recreational activities for guests including city tours, cycling trips, evening jamming sessions and a lot more. The mattress and pillows are just so comfortable that you sleep well and won't feel like coming out of your bed. Their common rooftop area is the coolest place to chill and relax. Very close to railway station, market, shopping street and churches, highly recommended place for stay to solo travellers, groups and females.

It's all about the rooftop. And the 6pm chai on the rooftop. And the pool table, and the cook on the rooftop who makes excellent food, and the lovely hood and the walking distance to all what you need, and the staff, and the clean rooms which are being cleaned daily. and did I mention the rooftop? Basically, everything what you need from a hostel in a big cool city like Mumbai.

I would never recommend for anyone to stay at this hostel, I would rather advise them to avoid it at all costs. Nowhere was it mentioned that the place has EXTREMELY steep and unsafe steps to enter the building. Its as if youre scaling a nearly vertical fire escape. Then once inside, the only hallway is very narrow and tight (this is where all the living quarters are), leading to another two sets of very steep steps. The first set lands you at the front desk, the second set to the upper communal area. Upon arrival, we were told we HAD to remove our shoes and it was told to us in a very demanding and rude way by a shorter male individual who worked there. He then told us we had to leave our bags sitting in the minuscule hallway on the floor and follow him up another set of steep stairs in a tight opening to his check-in desk. It was an awful experience being there. The shorter male worker was not enjoyable to be around or deal with at all. At one point when I tried to get change for a 500 bill it took him nearly 10 minutes to do so because while he VERY SLOWLY counted through stacks of bills in his desk to give me a simple set of change, he would take breaks to yell at one of the cleaners over and over, it was ridiculous. None of the other workers ever seemed happy with exception of the British woman who seemed to be training who was very kind. We never even went up to the communal area because the stairs were so steep and unsafe (and my mother who was along is 70 years old). YOU CANNOT NOT INFORM PEOPLE ABOUT INSANELY DANGEROUS STEEP STEPS, and 3 sets of them at that, nor can you forget to mention you have a no shoes policy which is unsanitary. Also, the workers came in the dorm room constantly. Why? We dont know. But it felt intrusive and creepy. We absolutely hated the time in this hostel. We will make sure to tell anyone and everyone to never stay here. There is no way this hostel deserves a 9.4 rating. The only saving grace that made being there even bearable was that our dorm mates and the other people staying there were wonderful, sweet, kind and great conversationalists.

I had a very weird point of view when it came to living in a hostel BUT when I checked into The Co-hostel at Chapel road, it was like I had stepped into a friendly paradise where all the employees are excessively supportive and so very understanding! Speaking about employees - the cook of the hostel, Mr Sharvan makes the most delicious food I have and maybe will ever eat in my life! The Beauty of this Hostel is not just the friendliness but also the cleanliness of every room! After reading all of this you would have obviously understood that Co-hostel's very first priority is the safety and happiness of every guest! Can't wait to come back for a visit soon
