Recent stay at Grand Residency Bandra ,Mumbai
by DeltaResEB on
My mother passed away, quite suddenly, on Feb 26, 2020 and several members of our family traveled to Mumbai for her funeral. Since we were a few of us, we decided to stay at this hotel. We were pleasantly surprised with the excellent service, the variety of food, cleanliness and most importantly, the affable staff. With the funeral over and most of the family returning to their homes abroad, my husband and I had the choice to move out of the hotel and into Mum's apartment for the remaining week's stay in India. However, with the outbreak of Covid-19 and the ensuing 21 day lock-down issued by the Indian Govt., we became one of the thousands of stranded Canadians in India and nevertheless, decided to continue staying at the hotel. Although this didn't appear to be the most economic choice, our decision to continue to stay at the hotel was based on the facts that we were safe & isolated, comfortable and cared for by the friendly and efficient staff. In particular, we would like to especially thank Tariq Chaudhari, the Gen. Manager of the hotel for being so kind to us. Our gratitude is also extended to all staff who were ever so polite and courteous, and helped make Grand Residency our "home" for almost 7 weeks. We were finally able to return to our home in Vancouver BC, Canada after the Canadian govt. organized rescue flights. On our next visit to Mumbai, we will most definitely stay at the Grand Residency.
Above and Beyond Service During the Covid-19 Lockdown

I got stuck in Mumbai on a connecting flight when air travel was locked down in India. I first tried multiple other hotels in Mumbai, but they kept shutting down due to the virus. I finally checked into the Grand Residency, and the service was incredible. My total stay may have been around a week and a half (I'm not sure exactly). I was worried a bit that the hotel would shut down, and the General Manager looked me straight in the eye and told me that I had his word that they would not. And they didn't! Since I was locked in the hotel and unable to do basic tasks. The General Manager was always able to arrange it to be done for me. This included getting my prescription medicine refilled and simply brought up to my room. Since supplies were running low in India, they had to visit multiple pharmacies that had my prescription in stock. The workers there were absolutely as friendly and as welcoming as can be. From the receptionist, doorman, room service workers, and the General Manager. The room service was prompt and the food was spectacular. When the room service comes, they do not simply just fix your bed. Room Service completely gives your room a full deep clean daily with new sheets and pillowcases. The rooms are also well soundproofed from the rooms next door. There is a beautiful rooftop you can go up on to relax, and the rooms have a private terrace attached to them. Most of all, I want to recommend and thank this hotel for their upstanding service during a time of crisis. If I ever find myself in the city of Mumbai again, this is the hotel I am recommending. My anxiety was high at the other hotels I stayed at, but all of those worries were relieved at the Grand Residency. I would't mind living in the room I was in for a long period! Thank you so much! - Thomas
A week stay

We stayed at the Grand Residency in a Deluxe Room which badly needs a facelift. For the price the beds are a bit small and the mattresses too soft one sinks in and the pillows were too! The room is dimly lit. It has a lot of storage space but the cabinets are very dirty or filled with wires. The bathroom is compact and moldy! The exhaust doesnt work so the room has a musty smell. Inspite of this the place is packed with guests from all over the world and we happened to talk about the room conditions and everyone felt they need to reform it. On the upside the location is excellent!!!! All around in the surrounding streets are restaurants n cafes and shops. The area is safe and inspite of traffic and noise the rooms are fully sound proof The lobby is very pretty and has a cozy breakfast area. The plus points the reception are very welcoming. The breakfast was good and the staff are very attentive. The doorman was very nice always helping to get us a taxi or find our Uber. The overall experience would have been great if the rooms are Reformed.
Location, location & location

I stayed here for 7 nights during a recent Mumbai trip with my family. I found it to be a decent serviced apartment ...and good for a family stay. Service is pretty good too. Accomodation is clean and provides the necessary requirements for a pleasant stay. But more importantly ... the location of this serviced apartment is perfect. Great for shopping and restaurant choices, church etc ...all within walking distance. I recommend this serviced apartment for a affordable and enjoyable Mumbai stay.

We stayed in this place for 9nights,and I must compliment the staff, from the friendly doorman Indrajeet Singh who always had a smile to brighten your day, and Ms.Hetal st the front desk, and the General Manager Mr. Tariq Choudari, who made sure that our stay was comfortable. I must say even the waiters who service the breakfast venue are extremely accommodating. Location too is another big asset of this place. Highly recommended.
