Reason For Rating : The hotel's ambience is marvellous and our stay was pleasurable, but review points got lowered due to mis-guidance at reception. They offered to 'adjust' us to 'upgraged' Mercury city facing rooms instead of our Lagoon view, and warned that it would NOT be possible to change it. These rooms had pathetic view, no space, no bathtub. We had to insist to get them changed, but after wasting 2 extra hours after normal check-in time.

What's Good: Hello Team Sahara Star. Vivek Kumar Chief Executive Officer It was very good time at Sahara Star. I came for m First Night after My marriage. The premises is very Nice, Neat & clean. But i have to tell you this that your room Number 3044 in which I was staying is not that proper. 1: Bathroom Door lock is broken & it is not working properly. 2: there is a leakage in Bathtub 3: in m room about at 2am to 6am A/c was not working properly. Apart from this Light system is also giving some trouble to operate. Also i got welcome letter on Some Mr. Deep Shah's Name Instead of my Name Mr. Dharmesh Kholiya. This small small Mistakes making your premises Uncool. Do think about it. I Have no complaint about my Visit. Just writing this for your better services. I came for My first Night & at Nights 2 am where should I go to complain. this is why I dint said anything at reception at checkout timing. -- Master's Mind. I went a few days ago to Manuhaar restaurant which is located in famous Sahara Star hotel which is very near to domestic airport and approximately 2 Kms away from Vile Parle station. I am happy to know that they have introduced a new place for thali lovers. Manuhaar serves thali full of love which was like the best thing, there were so many varieties I just couldnt stop myself from eating everything. The food was super delicious and it was really well served, the staff was properly trained and mannered, we had really a great experience. There is so much variety in the food. I can go on and on. Lets touch the highlights. Our thali comprised of following delicacies. Drinks: Rose Sharbat: Exceptional and refreshing drink to beat the heat. Chaas: Masala chaas is the perfect way to digest your food. Farsan: Moong Dal Pakoada: Extremely flavorful, crunchy and tasty. Sangam Dhokla: Combination of white and yellow dhokla. Tasted good. Dahi Wada: Yummy and one of the best things here. Do try. Vegetables: All the vegetables theyve served gives a wide range of flavors to the palate. My favorite Gatte Ki Sabji and Fanasi Dhokali. Paneer Rajwadi Turai Moong Dal Fanasi Dhokli Aloo Mutter Tamatar Gatte ki Sabji Dal/ Kadhi: Dal Baati Churma: A Rajasthani meal is incomplete without Dal Baati Churma. They have normal baati and masala baati which had green peas stuffing inside baati. Served with spicy moong dal and churma. Dal Tadka: It was not that sweet just perfect. Rajsthani Kadhi: It tasted awesome with rice and green peas pulao. Must try. Roti: Puri/ Fulka/Makai Rotla Rice: Green Peas Pulao Steamed Rice Sweets: Dont miss the desserts. Amazing!!!! Ghevar Sevaya Kheer You could see the popularity of the place as there was constant queue outside. Though food was delicious, I still would like to add two points. First, thali was close to Rs. 1500 per person but its completely worth if you see the place, ambience and food quality. Second, they should have Paan (betel leaf with other ingredients as a complimentary item) Overall, I had a great time. The chef and staff (Mr. Jigar) given us memorable experience. I will surely recommend this place to everyone. Food: 5/5 Decor: 5/5 Service: 5/5 VFM: 5/5 P.S: The review is strictly depends on my personal experience.

It is good hotel however I would have preferred rooms to be bit bigger than a loft. the hallways are long and can be a good walk however claustrophobic people beware it seems like going inside a long tunnel which is well lighted but less air circulation. Bed is Soft and nice. Everything works in room. Breakfast spread is big but does no seem fresh. the tables near egg station can have eggs smell. Thought I am a non vegetarian but even i asked to be seated else where. The management needs to look at air circulation as a whole to ensure better well being of the guests and staff.

Our Ratings: Food: 5/5 Ambience: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Value for Money: 5/5 Overall: 5/5 Location: This place is very near to international airport in Mumbai in Sahara Star hotel. One can easily reach this location from Vile Parle station. About the Place: Sahara Star is a place known for its pillarless dome and its hospitality. The view of trees and water flowing through it is so serene that it will just make you calm. Amidst this calm surrounding there is a restaurant named Manuhaar, which is known for wonderful melange of Gujarati and Rajasthani cuisine served on a single palate. Manuhaar serves thali full of love made by Maharaj Hariram from land known for simple yet divine Flavours. The ambience of the place is very captivating with vintage elements as well as paintings on wall which reflects luxurious culture of neighbouring lands. Our Experience: We decided to spend some time by indulging our self in some authentic dishes at this restaurant in Afternoon. As we arrived we were immediately attended by Mr. Deepak who had made our experience a memorable one at Manuhaar. He explained us perfectly about the concept of Manuhaar and how they bring variety in their Menu everyday. They serve only thali over here and it is a pure veg restaurant. The thali costs you around Rs. 1450 but trust us its truely worthwhile. The menu of thali is different for lunch as well as dinner which changes everyday. The thali consists of humongous variety of food which will make you crazy. One tip if you want to do justice to this thali just go empty stomach. To our surprise our thali had only one vegetable which was Non-Jain, so yes it is a Jain friendly place as well. Our Thali comprised of following delicacies.. Welcome Drinks: The drinks are served in cute little glasses made from china clay. 1. Jal Jeera Sharbat: A refreshing and tangy drink perfect to start you meal with it. 2. Chaas: A simple yet amazing drink which helps to digest your food. It was just perfect. FARSAN- 1. Kothimbir Vadi: Small deep fried cubes made from chana flour and coriander leaves. It was crispy from outside and soft and spongy from inside. We loved it. 2. White Dhokla: This is a normal white dhokla with mustard and chillies on it. Vegetables: 1. Paneer Mewadi: Soft cottage cheese cooked with rich red gravy spicy to taste. 2. Bhindi Sambhriya: Stuffed Lady finger stir fried and cooked in Gujarati style. It tasted good. 3. Mutter Muthiya nu Saag: Small balls of Muthia cooked with green peas. It was sweet to taste but was truely delicious. Highly Recommended. 4. Baigan ka Bharta: This was the only Non-Jain dish in the thali. It was spicy and full of flavours. We loved it and had it twice. It tasted best with any Rotla. Highly Recommended..!! 5. Gatte ki Sabji: This is authentic Rajasthani dish which had gatta cooked in spicy gravy. It was made perfect. DAAL/KADHI- 1. Daal Baati Churma: A Rajasthani Thali is incomplete without this dish. They had normal baati as well as masala baati which had green peas stuffed inside baati. These baati are served with spicy moong daal and churma. It was divine. 2. Surti Daal: Daal with perfect consistency and sweet to taste. If you like your daal little bit sweet you will fall in love with this daal. It was typical Gujrati style daal. 3. Rajasthani Kadhi: This one is a tangy kadhi cooked in Rajasthani style with spices. It tastes best with pulav or rice. RICE- 1. Kaju Moongodi Pulav: Rice stir fried with moong daal vadi kaju and spices. It was spicy and tasted good with Rajasthani kadhi. 2. Steamed Rice: It is normal steamed rice served in bowl. SWEETS- 1. Kaju Katli: They had our all time favourite Kaju Katli on their menu that day which made us happy. It was delicious to taste. 2. Gulab Jamun: Soft and Spongy gulab jamun were served piping hot which made it taste even more delicious. It was garnished with cut almonds. It tasted good.
