What's Good: The hotel and its location is very good. The atmosphere is very peaceful. On the whole, the hotel is good for stay.

What needs to improve : From the maintenance and cleanliness point of view, it was not so good. After 3-4 calls the attendant used to come.

  • Rooms with spectacular views

    by Balram C on February 13, 2018

The resort is around 25km from Munnar city in the heart of nature. Surrounded by tea gardens, located on high hill. Food was also good. Only problem is the road connecting the hotel to Munnar, which is under widening work. Therefore, this road is closed between 7am to 6pm. Albeit, there is an another road, but this is a longer route.

  • Room with a view - a stupendous one at that

by narayanv on February 4, 2018

Sadly, we could spend only a few hours at the hotel because our flight into Kochi was delayed by six hours. By the time we started up the hills of Munnar it was dark. The hotel itself is quite decent, thought the rooms did have a musty smell. We were quite disappointed at having missed all the views during the drive, but were rewarded with a magnificent view of the mountains, the valley with its tea gardens and the river at sunrise. This hotel has some of the best views in the area. We stayed long enough only for breakfast which was delicious.

  • Amazing experience, helpful staff!!

It was a wonderful experience being in Ayur County. Mr. Jaya Krishna took all care about our stay and other requirements to the core. The staff is really well behaved and helped us with understanding the local routes and other places to visit as well. A fantastic property with a fascinating view!! Loved the place. Thanks Mr. JK for the warmth!!

We had the most spectacular views of the sunrise, mountains, tea gardens with 270 degree view from our balcony. We were especially grateful to Sijo for his kind care and tourist assistance. There is much to do and see but really, sitting on the balcony, looking out at the views for hours, was the perfect holiday for us! We were so peaceful and rested after our time at the resort.

  • Not bad

We stayed two nights in this resort. The Chinnakanal place is really wonderful, tea plantation, mountain, dam, and beautiful valley make you feel very relaxed and happy. First of all, while booking this resort we didn't know that road construction work is going on from 7 am till 7 pm, while talking with manager of resort he didn't even tell about this thing, and we started from Munnar to reach the place day time and in Devikulam we got to know that we can reach hotel only after 7 pm by this road. So this earlier information from hotel manager would save our time and we could able to change our tour plans. Just because of this we wasted half day waiting the opening of the road. When we arrived to the resort. I felt that receptionist even doesn't understand English, I was asking many things but he was keeping telling me "OK, OK" without any further result. When we got to our room, we were quite relaxed. Room was very specious, and bed linen was clean, bathroom was little bit dirty and heater was working not so good, for hot water we were waiting about 1.5-2 hours. View from room was excellent, and in the morning we were able to see sunrise. Restaurant is normal, or usual, I felt it is overpriced. Quality of the food is OK only. Swimming pool is not that much clean, and I saw several worms in the water, so I didn't dare to swim. One night is totally enough to stay in this resort.
