What's Good: Place to unwind
Reason For Rating : Location : Away from town, could be a famous hideout. Elephant sighting spots are nearby Property : Reasonably good rooms ,restaurant low priced and prevent you from starving .Limited parking space. Host : Good mannered & friendly ; Look for mustafa your tea boy. Warning : Connecting road to Munnar town is closed for most of the day hours but you have plenty of other places to move around. Overall : Good experience to chill out with family, away from crowds.

What's Good: 1. The room is smaller than it appears in the pics. Toilets aren't the cleanest. 2. Food is over priced and not too many options. And, they have a time window. 3. The rooms have no view. 4. Overall, the facilities and amenities felt more hotel friendly than guest friendly. 5. The place isn't as nice as it looks in the pics.

A lot of irritating rules and food not allowed inside the room. Very poor complimentary food menu, not enough food. Water facility was bad. Don't go with your friends, you will experience uncomfortable.

It is an amazing place for families..nice place to visit and affordable rate.. Enjoyed the atmosphere as well as the camp fire..thank you so much for this marvelous home stay... They have their own cab facilities and the behaviour of workers also good.

Highly recommended if you are looking for a place to forget time, chillout and relax. Host is friendly and helpful with whatever you might need. They provide traditional Kerala style food for a fairly cheap prices. You might also wanna try some of that local palm wine (alcoholic). All-in-all it was a great pleasure staying there for four nights.

I have liked all of it.. I would like to stay there for more than a year The campfire at night is such a beautiful thing that any one can enjoy it. There is the lake view if you walk up for a 100 meters, especially at sunrise. No words can describe that Thanks for the stuff and for the good complement. Thank you again

A visit to this hotel was a nightmare come true. The visit was a compulsion since our original booking at Misty Cardamom was canceled since the hotel was closed down(this was a shocker too since we got to know this only once we were halfway to Munnar). The booking agency booked us here as a compensation. Everything about this place is terrible barring the location. The manager is absent-minded and he keeps forgetting things. It seemed as if the management of this place had absolutely overwhelmed him. He is an old man and we felt bad for him. I didn't want to write this review in the first place badmouthing him but then I decided to so that it saves people some pain. The service is terrible. We reached the hotel at around 7.30 and we were asked to order food before 8.30 pm since they said that they won't be taking food orders after that. We did and then we didn't receive it till 10.30 pm. We got the food after a lot of fighting. These guys do not prepare their own food (at least the dinner). They order it from outside and then serve it to you after charging at least 100 rupees extra for each of the dishes. A family with kids, staying in one of rooms, had a harrowing time asking for dinner The breakfast was decent though. Another weird incident during the breakfast-they refused to serve tea or coffee since it was not complimentary. So we said we would pay for it. Then one of the guys says that they won't be able to prepare it since there was no milk. When we spoke about this to the manager, he said that they do provide tea/coffee as a part of the complimentary breakfast. The rooms were unclean with cow-webs and dirt on the walls and on the bed. No one bothered to clean the room or put in fresh towels (we stayed there for two days). The rooms are cute but claustrophobic. The place is situated in the foothills of Western Ghats and there isn't a window which allows you a view of the mountain range. Imagine such a picturesque place and you don't have windows to look out into the wilderness. The staff is friendly enough but they neither have the financial or the administrative authority to do anything about the goings-on in the hotel. The management is to be blamed for everything that has gone bad here. The most surprising part is the rating that this place gets. That would need a Sherlock Holmes to unravel the mystery. I hope the management takes notice and makes amends for it. It would be sad to see such a beautiful place shutting down due to sheer laziness and lack of attention. But for now my advice to everyone is to give this place a wide berth.
