    Very Good!

    by SRIDHAR on May 05,2015

What's Good: Very good view from Valley view rooms. Friendly staff, good food (both bfast and dinner). Completely worth the amount spent. Specially when clouds pass around you and when we live with nature in such heights, it gives great relaxation. Since they dont serve coffee/tea till 8am, its high time they keep a water kettle/coffee-tea sachets in room. For the amount they charge, this a very small investment, but will be a real value added service.

What's Good: Staff & Food is good and particularly the candle light dinner arrangement. But the room facilities are not great at all. Thats why average rating. If they work a little more on the room, this place can be an amazing experience as the location is amazing as well

Fantastic view with great hospitality Food , housekeeping, staff, manager was 9/10. Thanks for the good time and keep up the good work. Amazing trekking experience around hotel. Nice weather and spending time in balcony was worth it.

  • Excellent Location and good Service but food could have been much better.

For people driving by themselves, please be advised before you select the hotel below for your vacation. Ensure that you know how drive steep uphill/ descend and also be prepared to encounter poor visibility due to fog because of height of the property. The approach road is slippery and one can see two small waterfalls on the way to the resort if you are going in the rainy season. Deshadan is a resort with an excellent view of the valley below. The service was excellent and staff was also very courteous. On a good day one can see the Idukki dam reservoir from the 'Superior View Rooms'- our choice of room during our stay at Deshadan. But whatever the good things that the hotel had to offer was offset by one aspect: Food. I have not had such a bad experience with food before in any of the properties I have stayed. This mattered a lot especially since there was no other option because of the remoteness of the location. I suggest the management to review this as this can spoil whatever reputation you have built.

  • Awesome resort with unparalleled view!

    by ryan p on June 4, 2018

This resort boasts of being the highest resort in Kerala! The hotel rooms offer such an unparalleled and serene view that even top viewpoints of Munnar can not match! The staff and service of the resort is equally commendable! They made sure that our stay and experience at the resort is memorable and comfortable. I highly recommend this resort to people who like to blend in to nature and not just stay in the traditional hotel!

Had a comfortable stay with my family. Mr lalu is the manager there, he made every possible arrangements and made us feel like home. He made our trip truly memorable and enjoyable. Food was good, staff was friendly and services were excellent. room view was so mesmerizing that i cant even explain in was as if we were living in the heart of nature itself. A must stay for everyone going there without a doubt. PS- reach-ability of resort is quite off the track from main city

  • A Glimpse of Switzerland in Kerala

by TMSChennai on May 20, 2018

The smell of Cool, Wild Mist in a Mountain Peak, Surrounded by Flowers, Birds and Jungle Trees. Moments so powerful that we cannot speak, Memories that make us go weak in the Knees. That is the Deshadan Mountain Resort for you. Every view a Masterpiece. It is as if Switzerland in summer is transported to Kerala. The whole resort is like many major View Points all rolled into one. The Balcony will have a great view, the Restaurant another view, the Recreation Areas have two greats views, the entire car ride to the resort is a beautiful view and the piece de resistance is the private view at the top most point. The kids had the additional fun of petting 6 infant rabbits. The food is marvelous. Rooms are great, room service is good and a very good trek is also available for the adventurous. Recreation Centre has table tennis, fussball, chess and even mini-golf. A must stay location. Very highly recommended. p.s: Note to staff: My kids wanted to call you to say there is a wild cat trying to eat the infant rabbits, please keep them safe.

  • Ask for superior view rooms.

by Asadanand on July 6, 2018

  • ask for the rooms that are along play area...their view is better

    by pulkit_singhal41 on June 2, 2018

  • Higher rooms are called as superior mountain view room, they're pricey, you can choose it you need it otherwise, not a bigger room though
