This is the highest resort in Munnar and the view from here is quite magnificent. Rooms are ok types but Excellent staff makes it for this. Food here is awesome and staff is very friendly. We stayed in mountain view room.

  • Stay here for the best valley view.....

    by tanwistha g on January 26, 2018

Situated at the peak of the mountain range, Deshadan provides the best view of the entire valley. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. With enough area around the hotel property, it is an ideal option for family and couples. Sitting in the balcony, sipping a cup of tea, you can watch the clouds keep the mountain range on it's toe; playing peak-a-boo every other minute. We visited Munnar in the first week of July, last year. It was misty all throughout with drizzle coming down in the evening. Not that we couldn't step out of our room. But the experience was one to be relished. Coming back after visiting the well-known places of Munnar, we sat in the balcony. Having ordered some hot cup of cardamom tea, french fries, and chicken roast, it felt like being on the top of the world. One of the best properties of Munnar, with extremely warm and cordial hotel staffs. Deshadan, I will visit you soon.

  • God's Angel

    by Ishank G on January 2, 2018

Me and my wife was on New Year celebration trip to Munnar and booked DESHADAN resort for stay. On the way we met with major accident and I called to the resort for help and it was Mr. Abhilash manager of Deshadan resort who came like God's angel to us and helped upto the last we stayed in the resort. Staff, cleanliness, food quality is superb over there and very well organized and maintained. If you are planning for Munnar - DESHADAN RESORT should be your destination.

  • A Wonderful stay on Top of the World!!!

    by Karthik R on December 17, 2017

I stayed with my family on a vacation and took my elderly parents as well. We had a great time at Deshadan. We stayed in Family Cottage room - C1 with two bed rooms, living room which was spacious with dining area and a balcony. Here are the pros and cons(off course very few) that goes with our stay - PROS - 1. Location was too good, we feel like being on the top of the world. Especially early in the morning that freshness in the air along with chillness with birds crippling sounds makes you feel so fresh and rejuvenated. 2. Rooms were neatly maintained and they changed all towels, toiletaries and do full house keeping every day. 3. Kids have good amount of activities to keep them engaged and the hotel staff were courteous in allowing the kids to feed carrot to rabbits grown up there in the resort. 4. Food was very tasty and moderately spicy which makes us completely satisfied suiting to the needs of my elderly parents and kids as well, more importantly served hot despite of the chill weather outside. Even the morning buffet breakfast was good enough and sufficient for our needs. We dinned mostly in the resort itself since we were comfortable with the food options available in the resort. 5. Resort staff were very courteous and helpful. Mr. Gokul personally took care of all our requirements and was very friendly in taking care of us during our complete duration of our stay. CONS - I would call it as scope of improvements 1. The location is at a high altitude and little away from the city so more sign boards en-route to the resort would help travelers reach there even more comfortably. We struggled during the last leg our of journey despite of reaching close to the resort since the sign board in the road was facing the other direction of the road we missed noticing it, ending up roaming in search of the resort for 20 minutes. 2. Resort contact numbers present in Go-IBOBO site was that of the corporate office in Kochi and calls were not answered during our date of travel since it was a Sunday. Usually the resort coordinators used to contact the guests a day before or on the boarding date to check on our arrival time, food and travel requirements, but unfortunately we never received a call from the resort till we arrive at the resort. 3. For the Al-Carte food ordered in the restuarant, they took a lot to time to deliver which is close to an hour, even though they prepare it fresh and mentioned about the time taken for preparation in the menu card, but still close to an hour is something that needs to be looked upon to bring it down to 30 minutes. Moreover the orders taken through room service were misplaced with other room orders a couple of times during our stay(but got them corrected within a short duration), this can be taken care in a better way.

  • Relax time at Deshadan

    by naresh_rawat2511 on December 4, 2017

I stayed with my family on a vacation. We had a great time at Deshadan. We stayed in Family Cottage room. The drawing room was spacious, though bedrooms were not so. The bed blankets, toiletries need to be of better quality. The cottage room C1 need some facelift to make it more premium. The hotel staff is very courteous and helpful. Mr. Gokul took personal care of all the requirements. The restaurant service staff was very prompt and courteous. The recreation facilities at the hotel are really good. Overall, we had a great time at Deshadan despite some shortcomings. The location is at a high altitude and little away from the city to have a relax and hassle-free time.
