This is a unique weekend getaway in Pallivasal. The property is on a slope. And the uniqueness starts with the reception at the top floor and rooms at the bottom floors as we move down the slope. The hotel is surrounded by tea plantations making it a perfect spot for an early morning walk to witness the rising sun from the mountain amidst the tea plantations. The room is luxurious. Consists of a king size bed, a couch, a study table. The breakfast is buffet type and was delicious. Tea maker is available inside the room. Washrooms are well maintained and fitted with all required facilities inclusive of hair dryers. There is a lawn with seating arrangements. There is a spa inside the hotel. Overall this is one of the best hotels to spend quality time with your line loved ones. Very friendly staff too. Highly recommend it.

We thought it had the wow factor when we first got there. You arrive at what looks like an english pub, which is in fact the reception area. The hotel is actually 5 stories built down the hill "overlooking" amazing tea plantations. So far so good! The rooms are quite modern with a nice balcony - which leads to the first problem. You can't actually see the lovely view because of the row of 5 story eucalyptus trees right outside. They are also fairly noisy in the wind - being so close. I hate the thought of destroying trees, but why are they still there??? The evening buffet was sparse (not many guests?), and the service in the restaurant left a lot to be desired. We were not offered a drink (no alcohol as with many hotels in this region but there must have been a selection of soft drinks), we were offered a nan bread to go with the vegetable curry but this failed to arrive. At breakfast they took an order from myself but not from my wife whilst we were both sitting there! We sense a lack of staff training, which is bourne out by the general cleanliness and lack of maintenance, with marked walls and peeling paint in the common areas. Such a shame as it could have been, should have been, a stunning place.
