I stayed here for two days as part of my Kerala trip. The place is a bit small with just a few cottages and villas and approx 45 min from Munnar/approx 20 min from more commonly used hotels but since its a rather new resort its very beautiful and well maintained and a hidden secret - its in a village which also maintains the authenticity of the whole experience. The small size also means there are not too many ppl in the resort at any time and there is a sense of calm and private space. The staff is very friendly and ever smiling and try to accommodate guests wishes. All dishes were made from vegetables grown in the damp and the food was super awesome. There is a small market nearby should you want to buy some snacks etc. We had a packed itinerary so didnt have time to use the activities organized by the resort but I totally loved the overall experience which is way better than staying in a normal 3 star hotel ( this place is easily a 4 star charged at 3 star prices because of its rather secluded location probably). It was a very safe place though. I would recommend this over typical 3-4 star hotels in the city any day!

We do not swan around the world expecting luxury but do expect to have a bed which has something between the mattress and the sheet and for the bed not to be damp. They are fighting a battle with a very humid atmosphere at this time of year and with no air con unfortunately they are not winning. We did complain and they did their best to sort it out. Having said that the position is amazing and staff could not be more charming and committed. There are a plethora of activities on offer - most of which we did. One of the high spots was a bird watching trip with the boss who is incredibly knowledgable and fanatical about photography - actually not just fanatical but superb! The food is simple but delicious.

Very welcoming. Manager could not do enough for us. The meals were some of the best we had on our trip. Rooms were large, clean and quiet. You cannot use your own toothpaste or soap due the the ethos of this camp but all is supplied for you. We would certainly stay here again.

..somewhere near Munnar, Kerala there's this wonderful oasis peace hidden in between the jungle of the mountains. Far off from everything that exhausts the body and mind you can find a wonderful eco friendly Paradise. If you like luxury and fancy stuff you might not like it. Otherwise, if you feel close to nature and are rooted to your native soul there might be no better place to stay. The accommodations are all held very plain, but equipped with all needed necessities, a comfortable bed, nice shower and a vent. Instead of standard artificial shower gel and tooth paste they are offering self made organic cleaning powders with ingredients of their own organic farming. Which brings me to the next point. Almost the entire food offered is not only most delicious and prepared in a semi open kitchen, but also almost entirely produced in the hotel own organic farm a few hundred meters up the mountain. This also includes fish and chicken. Typically for Kerala - the staff is awesomely friendly and open for any kind of chatting. They really enjoy your company and want to make your stay as relaxing as the surrounding nature is. The offered activities are also worth doing (especially with good weather) you'll get a great experience that makes your visit even more memorable. If you love the sound, the taste and feeling of pure nature - go there and I'll promise you won't regret it. Regarding the fact that they're also producing almost everything needed organically, the prices are absolutely fair. I will go there again!

The resort truly lives up to the name, so much in harmony with nature. Every detail has been closely looked in to, to keep the name ecotones true. All the staff of the resort were extremely pleasant and friendly. Gives the feeling of home away from home. The resort manager Sooraj was extremely helping and friendly and knows his job. It would be unfair if I don't mention the awesomeness and taste of the food they serve. Hats off to the chef! From ecotones we went to " the leaf resort Munnar" and we actually came back to ecotones for lunch!!! In addition to all this we had a lovely companion Choco the Labrador.
