What's Good: The hotel is beautiful on the outside, and no second thoughts about that. But the room service (or any service) is miserable. The place is very understaffed, there are no mechanisms in the room to call the staff for room service. The rooms were fairly small (which is not a problem) with no ventilation/ exhaust fans in the toilets (which is a problem because you cannot open the windows as you are in the middle of thick vegetation and the room would be swarmed by insects). As a result, the rooms were suffocating and smelly. Also, the place suffers power outage often but there are no emergency lights in the room, neither any candles were provided. And to go out to find somebody for help in the night was too much of a bother, because the manager's quarters are conveniently placed outside the main building. In addition, they do not allow you to park your cars in the proximity as it would block the view. In essence, the place is very pretty but needs serious attention towards customer service both in concern of comfort but more important, safety. I would not mention this place to be value for money.

We stayed 4 nights and really enjoyed the stay. The room, upstairs was very large, very clean and comfortable with lovely views over the valley. They are to a high specification. There was a balcony area to the side where you could relax or have meals should you wish. Nice gardens and flowers surround the building. Good breakfast, although the dinner menu was a bit limited but the service was good. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Free WiFi. Good AC. No complaints at all.

Flowers around the hotel are very nice. Other than that, everything is average - not worth the price. Limited options in breakfast. No warmth or smiling faces in staff. Basic average food with very high price. Example 8 pieces of bread with little butter Rs. 570.

I have given location a very high score. We had just spent 10 nights in major cities and Olive Brook is two thirds of the way up a mountain with very few people around. We needed some breathing space, something you don't get much of in a country with over a billion people in it. They gave us a little tour around the estate, showing us cardamom plants, coffee bushes and tea bushes. Pepper growing in its natural habitat. We had a nice quiet room with a little outside sitting area. The hotel has a little restaurant which does breakfast (spice for breakfast I never got used to, stick to toast, omelette and fruit unless you are tougher than me). They also do evening meals which frankly are excellent. You probably won't visit here unless you have a driver but in my opinion its well worth it if you are heading Munnar way for spices, coffee and tea. The staff are excellent by the way.

Beautiful setting in the hills just outside Munnar. Spacious and luxurious rooms with balconies and stunning views. Food was lovely and the staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. Be sure to take the walking tour of the estate as its a great opportunity to find out more about Kerala and its people. Definitely recommend for a very peaceful night's sleep.

The most wonderful stay in this fantastic farm/homestay. The rooms are large and comfortable with balconies and beautiful views over magnificent hills and trees. We were entertained to delicious food either in the dining area or on our balcony.. But these were surpassed by the memorable hospitality we received without exception from every member on this farm. Exquisite. Our welcome was superb....we were treated to a really informative and personal tour of the 40 acre farm by Basu,, meeting all those that worked there as we walked. Do visit, this is a gem in Munnar and so pleasantly secluded.
