I am totally disappointed with the stay at this resort. We were a group of 13 stayed at this resort and booked 3 cottages. We were not at all happy with service provided.I have listed some of the hurdles we faced. 1. Campfire was offered and we had to arrange it for us. 2. Water Heater was not working in one of the cottage. 3. Only one towel were provided even though we were 3-4 in a cottage. 4. Breakfast was limited and it was not communicated at first. The only positivity we had from this place was it will give a feeling of being lost inside forest.

Sahari Mariental Resort is located at a distance of 42kms uphill from Munnar. We had a tiring travel of 24 hours due to horrible traffic. But once we got the glance of the resort entrance we(group of 12 people including 3 couples and a kid) forgot all the troubles we faced to reach there. You have to travel 5 kms inside Pambadum Shola Reserve Forest and if lucky(we got lucky) you can see Bisons and other wild-life in the 5km strech). Just meteers after the Forest exit checkpost, you can get the first glance of resort on your right. You will be feeling 'Wooooowwww'. We booked all 4 cottages and it became our private resort for 2 days(Sep 29th '17 to Oct 1st '17).. Just 12 of us.. Campfire, self-cooking, cricket, photo-shoots , tent stay and lot more.. We enjoyed our stay there.Water source is from streams and you can get the best drinking water. And to those who love to explore wilderness, you can just climb the hills behind the resort and you can see wild-life. We didn't climb as there are many leeches and we didn't took any precautions(salt). Support staff were very very friendly and supportive. No mobile coverege except for BSNL. Those who want a stress free vacation, this is an ideal place. I suggest it to anybody who is planning for a trip to Munnar/Vattavada.

Location of this resort is good and the design too. But its totally zero when it comes to basic facilities and service as well. we were group of 8 and had booked 3 premium cottages. - It was chilling there and still No hot water at all running in the bathrooms of so called premium cottages - Electricity was out 90% of the time still no generator was available - No towels or soaps in the bathroom - house keeping was totally absent -For breakfast you have to search the care taker ( one man show) and wait for the food for atleast an hour... - Above all they argue with you and take money for pretty small things which they havent served. - Beware of hidden charges and - Wont recommend at all to go there as it was a horrifying experience - its 41 km away from Munnar for which we were misguided on the phone.
