Heavenly, picturesque and tranquil...best describes this hilltop camp.Located 5000 m above sea level, the camp offers a panoramic view of the lake and the sprawling tea plantations.Trekking to the Phantom's peak, boating on the lake and a drive through the town will leave you enthralled. We were impressed by the polite and courteous staff, homely food and the neat surroundings.Bonding with nature, it was an amazing, out of world experience @ camp Anaerangal.

Its a simple sort of camp with clean and comfortable bungalows with a nice view to the below Anaerangal valley and lake. Rooms have a nice balcony in the front and we enjoyed sitting there with a cup of tea..Dinner is served in an open space with a roof and a small fire place and the food is nice.

We stayed here two nights and we loved it. Such a quiet place, friendly staff, beautiful nature surrounding you. Our accomodation was one of the tents, but it was very comfortable anyway. 200 meters away from the camp there is an astonishing tea plantation, one of the most beautiful things we saw in Kerala. We also took a 4 hours trekking with two guides from the staff. We went up to the Phantoms Peak and then reached a tribal village going through huge tea and cardamom plantations. I almost forgot to mention the food: that was awesome too.

The camp is beautifully located at 5000 metres above sea level in Suryanelli. My experience at Anaerangal Camp was too good & one of the kind of experience a nature lover would expect. Lots of adventure activities are also provided & organised from the camp - trekking, river rafting, nature walks, plantation walk, tea factory tour & other adventure activities.
