  • Excellent stay in "The Munnar Queen" & superb hospitality

    by Pawan G on February 14, 2018

It was a wonderful stay & hospitality from the staff of Munnar Queen. Please find some of my feedback for this hotel: 1. We like the welcome at the check-in time. 2. The Munnar Queen hotel/property is excellent with lush green views & sun-rise view from hotel is awesome. 3. Hospitality is excellent. Staff is very cooperative & polite. Due to this, I will recommend all my friends & relatives who will visit Kerala to stay in "The Munnar Queen" Hotel only. 4. Food is very delicious & tasty. 5. We also like the check-out process where "The Munnar Queen" staff has taken the family photo & also sent us on our mail/ WhatsApp. 6. It's really worthful to stay in this hotel. I must say my stay at "The Munnar Queen" was the best decision. Overall, its excellent & memorable stay in hotel "The Munnar Queen" in munnar, kerala. Though an employee of Cox & Kings, I am also sharing the feedback with other departments of Cox & Kings for this hotel/property.

We had a booking for 3 nights.we paid 17000 in advance from make my trip.when we arrived they asked us to pay for my 7 yr old mistake in this booking the child age was not mention properly.i showed them my other hotel booking also but they said u have to pay .no extra bed was provided.we had an argument why they r charging.still we agreed to pay them.the staff was very rude they even ask us to leave if we dont pay for my 7 yrs old child.though the child is sharing a room with parents.i find it to be were not clean.they charge u so much but no Ac is there.the worst part was they dont provide 20 rupees mineral water.and the tea is 100 rs. I found that children under 16 are working as is last we paid them 1500 for ur child.but no bill was provided.more over ur mood is spoiled.this was my 1 st visit to Munnar.after paying almost 17000+1500(separately for my child)+(1000 for some food order)nt worth.i will nt suggest this hotel to u nt bcz my experience was bad.but if u pay so much.u should get facilities like clean room ,mineral water.a/c bcz climate was hot .when I visited that is 25 th jan 2018 .whole day u r out but when u come back the rooms r not clean u r not getting the basic facilities th u need like water.u r bringing it from outside.whats the point. The staff is very rude.its like take it or leave it.they dont experience was bad...................

  • Pleasant stay!!!

    by Harshala R on February 5, 2018

I have been this place in Feb,2018. Expected to be very chilled but it was not as its not situated mainly in Munnar but little before Munnar hills but this hotel has a plus point n that it is situated at high lane of the road which gives u feel of mountains. Overall hotel is well maintained.I must say staff is very courteous, special thanks to mr.Abhijit Joshi who welcomed us. We had a privilege to select a room of our choice and thanks for that :) we selected a valley facing room. Stayed for 2 days...Overall it's good hotel to stay with family or couple. Areas where they can improve are food variety in the menu for brkfast n meals and room service,it's not not sure because of the pick time or some other issue.but definitely they can improve on this. Forgot to mention they have a pool at rooftop so this is something cool n u can enjoy sunset from here. They have play area, terrace where u can have snacks with good view of valley. If u guys considering this option for Munnar then u can go for it but its lil away from market place. Adding few pics.

Cleanliness- 5/5 Overall feel of resort- 4/5 (Need improvement in the equipments like badminton racket, maintenance of the activity room) Location is excellent - near to kathakali and kalaripayyatu show 2 min walk BUT 15 km far from City Munnar Food:: 5/5 Excellent bfast and restaurant. Vegetarian is great !!! (Tea is the not value for money and taste avoid, go down and have it on the local street, its much better ) The front desk managers Melbin and Tufan were polite and very helpful, the welcome and making us comfortable was a great gesture. Although it's not very resort resort kind of feel but they overall experience is good. Munnar itself is not value for money place so I wouldn't comment on this factor. Lastly there are a lot of activities in the hotel like badminton swimming pool activity room Carrom table tennis and fooseball.

Visited the hotel for a 3 night stay points below 1. Very far away from the market 12 km you dont get any transport pls be advised to take your own vehicle or taxi 2. The temperature in afternoon. Is hot no air conditioning in rooms 3. No mineral water provided in rooms 4. Food is pathetic and service even worst 5. Staff is very rude and not friendly at all 6. Its not at at height so no feel of fog or anything 7. See how clean the room and bathrooms are 8. Dont pay in advance prefer to book and pay later or they will be least bothered to even entertain you

  • To avoid DJ sound at around 8-10 pm,don't take rooms close to it-if you love music(like I do) take a room facing the campfire :-)
