We had visited the property on 23/06/2018 & the location is too good. Food is awesome and served in Buffet Style. The location is beautiful. The staff are very friendly, Special thanks to Mr. Madhvan Jayan - FOM, for this memorable trip. We will recommend this property to our friends and relatives.

We visited here on December...with our friends...it was such great pleasure to have here in this resorts...great ambiance..good buildings inside the Forrest. Staffs are very friendly and helpful..thanks to the manager..Mr Nidhin. Such a nice person..must visit place in Munnar..those who like off-road drives they can choose the road that heads left from the exit of the resort..feel the climate and feel the life...

The woodpecker holiday resort is in a beautiful location, however it's no mean feat to make it so unbelievably ugly and depressing. The property appears half developed, maybe the clue to this was when they made us pay for the full & overpriced (in our opinion) amount upfront. The beds were uncomfortable, and we found the food to be inconsistent. The rooms themselves are in the shadow of a 70's boudoir, with the stains to match. Very dark and dingy. Bathrooms were inadequate, of the three rooms we rented (5 people) only 2 of the showers worked properly, with 1 being non-existent. One of the rooms felt and smelled damp. When we queried this, we were advised that is was a lottery as to which room you are allocated. The majority of the staff were friendly enough, however one of the managers we found to be very unhelpful and dismissive. Due to the rural location of the resort, you are dependant on the reception/office ordering transport for you in to Munnar, rickshaws charge approximately 300 RS per journey. Really would recommend somewhere else, as there appears to be plenty of nice places very nearby. Just so you are aware, it's a 6km journey to/from Munnar which takes around 30 minutes, and is a windy and bumpy road. If you're happy to stay local to the resort, there are some really nice restaurants and places to have a drink.

Memories still haunting us like a nightmare! Rooms are not clean bedsheets not well washed-dried, only north Indian food available in buffet, poor hospitality really far from Munnar town, road condition could be a big highlight i bet you will never wish to drive to this road again, it is better to reach resort before night after sightseeing very risky gap road although 6 km to reach the property that circumstance they utilized well because we couldnt have any other access or options. Feeling disappointed... Have a nice trip guys
