  • Extremely Continuous Bad Experience

    Extremely bad hotel experience. The property is good with an excellent location on main Rajpur Road. I stayed in the Presidential Suite but had a very pathetic experience. Suddenly in the morning around 9, the power in the room went off and after waiting for 10 minutes, I called up reception to inform them. However, when nobody turned up to rectify for next 30 minutes, I had to bath and get ready for office in dark only but they took 1 hour to come to room. The staff at restaurant at b'fast time was pathetic and unfriendly. They give you staring looks if u ask them anything on table. Variety at B'fast was also very less. Waiter staff stand in groups and discuss their personal issues while guests were eating.

    I stayed in this hotel and seems like it need the maintenance badly. Almost each corner is broken including walls, switches etc. I paid 5K per night for this and it definitely didn't worth it. The location is only beauty of this hotel.

    Booked valley view rooms. Really nice ambience and beautiful view from the room. The stay was very comfortable and relaxing. The location is also very convenient. But the amenity kits are not provided so advised to carry your dental kit, soaps, shampoo, bathroom slippers.

    It seemed the work of housekeeping was sub standard. Balcony's needed cleaning. The desk staff was helping but after you gave them a few reminders. Hot water in early hours of morning and late night was absent in taps.Room service was satisfactory. Garden was excellent.

  • Beautiful views but badly maintained

    We had initially booked a two room cottage and a valley view room, however were not happy with the cottage and spoke to the booking office in Dehradun . The staff agreed to let us all have valley view rooms and we were put up on the third floor in adjoining rooms with a nice balcony and gorgeous view. However the hotel is aged and had a lot of problems . Air conditioning was not working in all three rooms making it stuffy at night especially as the balcony needed to be kept closed due to monkeys. The bathrooms are very small and cramped and they overflow. Complained daily to reception and was advised daily that the problem is fixed but it was not. The food is good but the menu is limited and quite a few items mentioned are not available. Breakfast buffet has no variety with the same poori bhaji , paratha and eggs served all three days . Housekeeping was shoddy and amenities like toilet rolls etc were not replaced unless asked for . If you ask for the complimentary 2 bottles of mineral water that they replace daily , before the housekeeping comes then it is charged for However the hotel staff is polite , helpful and do the best they can. The spa was nice and the ladies running it are very pleasant . If the management decides to properly maintain this hotel , it could truly be what it claims ...the best 4 star in Mussoorie. However as it currently stands I would say the hotel is more of a 2.5 star hotel at best. I was going to give the hotel a 2 star rating but am giving 3 purely for the location and view
