What's Good: Approach to the hotel is very narrow. very difficult to drive and park car in the hotel. No good restaurants near the lodge. house keeping is very poor - room was never cleaned during my stay of two days and the towel was also not changed. Extra bed given was very bad and the bed sheet was dirty. It is only a budget hotel but the stay is not comfortable.

What's Good: Location of the hotel is very bad. Rooms were small but ok. Hot water available. No wifi. Hotel staff was ok. For good food have to go all the to the bus stand area. The hotel arranged for daily sightseeing thru KEZ tours. Rs 250 per person with pick up from hotel and drop at hotel is what the hotel told us. However the tour operates, having their office near Roopa Hotel did not drop us at hotel on completion of tour. The tour operator take the customer for granted. Do not go for sightseeing thru this operator. The tour operator also charge Rs. 200 per head on account of entry fees to various places whereas the entry comes only to Rs. 125 per head. The hotel did not inform about this additional charge payable to the tour operator, otherwise we would have gone to these places by bus. Brindavan gardens, Srirangapatna and Chamundeswari temple can bef covered by bus. Lots of buses plying to these destinations. Other places can be easily covered as these are located close to city near each other. The tour operator waste lots of time by taking you to handicrafts and silk emporium both I'm morning and evening as they get commission from these people. The overall experience was reasonably ok. Myself and my wife had traveled from Bangalore to Mysore for the tour on 7th and 8th August 2014.

What's Good: I'd booked 2 rooms, did confirm the availability over the phone with them after payment but when I reached, 1 of my room was given out as I arrived late. When the payment is made it doesnt matter when I arrive my room must be there till the default checkout time is over. It took them nearly 4 hours to provide me another room.

Great deals and services from great people. It's light on the pocket, very neat and clean, secure, and in the middle of the city near the fabulous, huge St. Philomena's Church. The staff is responsive, polite and energetic. Parking space is a little small, and the entry road is narrow; but except these a great, the best place to stay in Mysuru!

As we checked into the hotel, the first thing that caught the attention was its location. Right opposite St. Philomena's Church, it is 5 minutes away from Mysore Palace and Jaganmohan Palace. At such a location, a room at 730 per night was a steal and we happily stole it. The hotel had nice room, although a bigger room would have been better but for that price it was perfect. Water was provided and for more water you could use the first floor aquaguard. It has an elevator, an open terrace, sort of all you can ask. Clean combined toilet and bathroom was properly functioning as well. We requested for a bike rental and got one for 450. That was the first problem, over the phone the price agreed upon was 400 per day. Anyway, the bike was a bit problematic so it got changed next day with some money adjusted for the remaining petrol. Happy happy. Things sort of took a turn for the worse in the last two days. We rented a car to go to Halebeedu, Bellur and Shravanbelagola. Priced agreed upon was 3200 and the hotel did not mention that more money would be needed for parking, toll etc. Also driver concocted some story and took more money for himself as well. Hotel did not help us at all. We ended up paying 3800 in total, 600 extra!! We had told to change the towels and when came back later that day, towels were not changed and room not cleaned. Next day we asked for wake up call at 5:30 AM. No wake up call as we woke up at 8:30. Upon asking, the answer was the person in charge for the night did not want to "disturb" us. The hotel offers in room dining but they get the food from other restaurants and you have to pay on the spot. On an afternoon, we ordered 2 plates of finger chips, after an eternity, one plate arrived. Reason given was the restaurant they usually order from was closed. The other restaurant charges double so we paid same amount of money for only one plate of finger chips. No qualms against the hotel owners Mr. Ahmed and his brother, they were very amicable, and in most cases money matters were handled with lots of prudence. More than happy with the hotel but service can be much better as such lapses can screw up with your plannings. Also if you plan to take a car, make sure you complete all discussions before boarding the car.

The staff were very helpful and polite . We stayed in a simple, budget room. The hotel maintains a good standard of cleanliness. It is located just off a main road, and is generally quiet -but being close to the mosque you will hear the call to prayer at about 5.45am. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again

While booking online shows decent photo. Place is highly inconvenient for any Sedan car, it can hardly enter the lane and very difficult to go up the hotel ramp to park in just 2 cars parking space, mostly to find already occupied....they can openly ask you park on the narrow road itself. The bed-sheet was dirty - having stains. On asking the attendant, he denies that it is dirty and gives all the reasons why it is looking dirty and it is normal for it to be so much dirty!!! Finally, on when you express your frustration on these issues, they can ask you to go find another hotel....!!!! Which I did happily.....
