Poor cleaning in the rooms and toilets
by Jennifer S
on September 16, 2014
The location was very good and the stuff was friendly, but when I got to my room I found a jar and some glasses which had been used and remained uncleaned in my room, I assumed they must've forgot that but that they had actually cleaned the room, but then I opened my bed and found a bunch (I'm not exaggerating, there were a lot) of hairs all over the sheets so that confirmed my first thoghts. To continue with, there was no toilet roll in the bathroom (see? They had not even checked -nor clean- the room before I got there even though I didn't check in till 9 pm -that is, they had plenty of time!) and there was a huuuuuge cockroach waiting for me. I went downstairs and asked the stuff to please solve my problem and they just ignored me so after an hour waiting -seeing that I could not use the bathroom, which I needed and that I was about to go to bed for I had to wake up early next morning but wouldn't go with my uninvited guest in my room- I asked again and then make sure someone would come upstairs with me and kill it. And they did.

Not a good choice to stay

Only advantage of this hotel is its just opposite to the Mysore zoo and the rest everything is bad.
I booked this hotel through an Online travel agent hoping that it will be a good stay...
The room provided was dirty, you can see dust evrywhere...The bath room look like it was never clean....
They will do nothing what they have promised......
they will tell hot water will available from morning 07:00 to 09:00 but even if you go for a bath at 07:45 you will not get hot water, they will check for 3-4 times and will tell the hot water will come in 10 minutes.....it will be already 09:00 and now they will tell hot water will come only till 09:00 atlast you have to leave without taking bath.
Think many times before taking a chance....

Review of Hotel Dasharath

The location of the hotel is excellent. Just opposite to the Zoo and 1km away from palace. This is a lower middle class hotel. Good for staying for 1 or 2 nights. Room service is non-existent. The waiters are not very cooperative. The rooms are ok. Bathrooms are cleans. The locks are rusting. The walls are damp. So stay at your own risk. The rooms cost around 650 bucks. I feel it should have been around 500.

Average stay !

I have stayed in this hotel for a day and booked via yatra.com. I preferred this hotel for my very short stay, as it was very cheap over all the displayed hotels in the websites, though now not available in yatra. The location was excellent considering that it was almost opposite to Zoo. Unfortunately, I found the room is not up to the standard. The bed was very small and fortunately I was alone in the room, though I have booked for double bed. Anyway the basic facilities were available like light, fan, bathroom and hot water. But the instruction was that we should complete bath before 9:00 hrs and not to prepare food inside the room. However, I found they have also variety of rooms even a group of people got very good bargain in staying in a dormitory room. Though location wise the hotel was excellent, but facilities are looks to be substandard. So next day I have completed visiting the Zoo and shifted to another hotel near palace and joined there with my relatives, though we have to pay few bucks extra. Though the price looked cheaper, I have hesitation to recommend this hotel, as I feel with little more money, one can get a better deal.
Excellent location, average service, below average price and average facilities. It is better, if you can bargain.

Agree that it is cheap, but it didn't look clean to stay there.
The location is quite convenient. But for a few extra bucks you will sure find better hotels in Mysore.
