What's Good: Nothing at all
What needs to improve : Everything
Reason For Rating : It was utter disaster. The picture shown on the website and the actual room was totally opposite. I didn't stay there for not even an hour. I canceled my 2 days visit and wrapped up my journey and left for Bangalore the same day.. disappoinment.
Bad rooms, even worse is staff

I visited in a weekend of June with my mother. I booked one room through Yatra. By mistake I booked hotel for Sunday instead of Saturday. Yatra was willing to change Booking date if hotel was ready. On my arrival on saturday morning staff at reception was not knowing there was a booking in my name for next day. After pursuing for long he checked with other hotel where information regarding booking comes. Then he asked at what price i booked room. After knowing that I booked at 550 rupees he told he can give me a room at 700 rupees for the day. I told u I am ready to pay extra 150 if he confirms my next day booking is rescheduled. But he denied to do that. I requested if he can ask his manager to confirm if he can give a mail mentioning they don't have any problem. He told manager is not there and will reach hotel after an hour, after 11 am. I requested to give me managers no. He denied to give that. Then I checked one room to stay, but found its not worth staying at 700 rupees as rooms were dirty and bathrooms were unhygenic. Although rooms were available hotel staff did not agree to change my booking. Seeing condition of rooms and behaviour of staff I won't recommend anyone to stay here if you don't have any compulsion.

A decent budget hotel. Here so much facilities like TV, hot water, drinking water and Restaurant. Food in the restaurant is also good. A pleasant stay we had in the hotel. Bed was very comfortable. Overall good and no complaints.

Hotel Kanishka is an average hotel to stay. Rooms are maintained. Washrooms are clean and hotel staff is also little co operative. Food of this hotel is not too good but for an instance its okay to have that.

This hotel in Mysore was very budget; clean but dingey & the bath room was quite run down. The best thing about it was that it was central to every thing. We were able to walk to all the main tourist destinations, the bus station & train station & we had a lot of fun exploring the lane ways and back alleys behind Irwin Road. Next door to the hotel was a wonderful little local eating place with great food. The hotel was a noisy place- right on the main road & across the road from the mosque which for a couple of nights didn't bother us but some people might find the noise hard to take. I would recommend it only to budget travellers used to very basic conditions. We got what we paid for. Beds were okay, no tv, we used our own bedding. The staff spoke very little English but were friendly & helpful. They seemed a bit surprised to have Westerners staying in their establishment but they were all very nice.
Choose a room at the back, not the front overlooking the street.
