  • Palace stay

Stayed for 1 night - Feb 29 in Palace Wing Got feeling of staying in a palace.. Very spacious entrance.. Staff were courteous.. Rooms were clean.. Food was OK..slightly expensive .. Overall. would rate it Average+ from an experience stand point. Being a heritage property- can improve in quite a few areas..

Went for lunch at Lalitha Palace ,Mysore with great expectations. We were 11 people in total and ordered 9 dishes. The simplest of food took over 1 hour to be served which was french fries and Hakka noodles. Totally it took 1and 1/2 hour for the food service. So very disappointed.

  • Palatial Hotel Stay Not worth the Cost

    by Raj N on

I wanted to stay here for a night since I had a memorable visit to this Palace many years ago when it was a tourist attraction. But I was disappointed with the room amenities and the food quality of the restaurant. Only satisfaction was the magnificent front view and the majestic lobby with Royal staircase. We had dinner just to appreciate the grandeur view of the dining hall. The food was okay but not worth the cost. The breakfast, which is included with hotel stay, was pathetic, no waiters were present. I was told when I finally found a waiter that coffee was not ready though it was 8 30 am. The breakfast experience was the worst one out of my many high end hotel stays. If anyone just want an experience of staying in a place which used to be a Royal living quarters, then one can tolerate the negative aspects for a one day stay.

  • Excellent and very friendly Hotel

Our Nephew had his wedding ceremony at this hotel in November 2019. It is also close to Mysore Palace, the Sri Chemarajendra Zoological Gardens, the Srirangapatnam Fort and the excellent Devaraja Market. All worth visiting. It has a swimming pool. You can have your very good self service breakfast indoors or outside.

We were taken to this hotel for tea also to appreciate the beauty of what was at one time a palace. The grounds are beautifully kept and the suggests the grandeur of its previous life. Inside you can appreciate the workmanship and craftsmanship dedicated to the building in its time. The grand staircase, dining hall and ballroom are splendid. However, there are parts of the inside facilities now that require some serious TLC to live up to the rest of the building and would not recommend it for tea as very basic as is the service. We did not stay overnight so cannot comment on accommodation. Could be an entrance fee if visiting without a tourist guide.
