This is one of the worst lodges in Mysore, false promises, unclean rooms and toilets, bed sheets are never washed, if you request for a new bed sheet, they will get you a used one from another room. The owner Uman is really a rude fellow, he some what tries to bully the guests with his false justifications. Most of the time you will see guests fighting with Usman at the counter. Also no fixed price and you will not find any tarrif card here. They will charge according to their wishes as they want. Usually check out time in Mysore hotels are 12noon or 24hrs, but here they have their own rules its 4pm, English and Hindi channels are not subscribed only Malayalam language channels. I really don't understand how these lodges are given license to operate and fool the people.

We stayed for three nights. Most of what is advertised doesn't exist. There are no toiletries as advertised, the wifi doesn't work in the rooms and the service is non existent. The cleanliness of the rooms leaves a lot to be desired with dirty walls, floors and bed sheets. The owner is very badly mannered with a bad temper and had the audacity to charge us for "cleaning" when we booked out. Cleaning that could have happened if there was house keeping. The lodging is also very out of the way and most auto drivers don't know how to get there causing more than one heated argument with drivers requesting double the price on arrival because they got lost. It is cheap but overall I suggest looking elsewhere. Not worth the hassle.

I'll be honest my first impression of this hotel wasn't great. It's levels of cleanliness in the rooms leave much to be desired. But for the price of the place you can hardly complain. If you are looking for a luxury place to stay then this isn't for you, but if like me, you are a backpacker on a budget this is a great place to stay. The staff are really friendly and helpful, I feel safe here as it has a 24 hour reception. There is a rooftop with a great view of the surrounding area. It is very close to the palace and train station and there are always rickshaws just outside to get to places. There is hot water in the mornings and the water pressure is pretty good compared to other places. The wifi is fantastic, by far the best I have found in India so far. Overall if you are on a budget and just looking for somewhere to rest your head at the end of the day this is a good place to do so.

Me and my partner stayed here for 3 nights and loved it. In all honesty when we first got here we was a bit sceptical, the rooms aren't the cleanest but seeing as we are backpacking around we don't mind. The hostel is placed right in the centre of a lived in area, it isn't touristy around here and if you want to experience Mysore properly this is perfect. There are plenty of little shops around and everyone is very helpful. The manager of the hotel is a really nice guy and is extremely helpful. The wifi connection is the best we've had during our time in India and the hot water is actually hot (which seems a rarity in India!) there is a roof terrace where the views are priceless and it's only 1km away from the palace (if you are here on a Sunday go there just before 7!) it's very cheap to stay here, although bring your own toilet roll! The tv in our room is pretty useless, but in fairness who comes to india to sit in and watch tv?! If you're looking for luxury then don't stay here. But if you're looking for a cheap and cheerful experience then this is the place to come to.
