We stayed in The village resort on a weekend with the family. Place is very good. Not very exotic. But simple, clean and most comfortable place. Rooms were very big, clean and well maintained. Since the name is the village, it has been designed to look like houses in a village. Restaurant was good. More than anything staff were very good. Very courteous. We had a good time playing games like table tennis, Basketball, throw ball, badminton, cricket, etc. Good breakfast. Good place to relax. Can improve amenities like hot water through out, south Indian dinner.

We had a great weekend stay here. The rooms are neat with good facilities. They open directly into the beautiful garden. They even have tents if you want to spend time outside star gazing and lying in the garden. The stay is tad bit expensive but the service and the property makes it worth the price.

The resort is at the footsteps of Chamundi hills, well connected with the city markets as well. Rooms are big and spacious..they offered us a garden looking room with a small outside patio..but we found it to be infested by red ants..which was dangerous and complained the same to the reception. They politely changed our rooms to the first floor with a spacious balcony overlooking the garden. Rooms have a tea/coffee maker, refrigerator, TV. They have nicely manicured and lawns which my 15 month old thoroughly enjoyed. But they have limited activities for adults..just a small basketball ground and cricket pitch. They have in-house restaurant. The breakfast spread was decent..the major worry for me was - if you order a room service they will charge you almost 50% extra of the amount. They encourage people to sit and eat at the restaurant..rather than ordering it to their rooms, which was difficult for me as I was traveling with a toddler. They did send baby food on request which was not charged. Over all a nice place to stay and relax for the hustle bustle of city life.

1 - Excellent property. 2 - Superb Swimming pool. 3 - Cricket practice pitch. Basket Ball. 4 - Table Tennis. 5 - SGS - Anjaneya temple. 6 - 4 KM from zoo. 7 - Good food. 8 - Excellent staff. 9 - Nicely done interiors. 10 - Not much corporate feel - Unlike Windflower and other places where they charge for each and everything. 11- Place lacks Ayurveda massage center 12 - Place needs a conference center. 13 - No pets for kids. 14 - Food is little costly. 15 - Spacious room with Balcony. 16 - Value for money

First Mysore trip and we chose The Village. The rooms and set up was ideal for a lazy long weekend that we intended to have. Lovely set up of rooms and ambience created around the hotel is relaxing and takes you out of the city madness.
