What's Good: Well, to start off with, the rooms were good, the resort was very spacious and big to take a stroll, swimming pool was neatly maintained, spa facilities met expectations. The ambience was warm, calm, soothing in itself. The food was very good. The buffet at the breakfast stole our hearts away. By far the best of the varieties that i have found. Overall a very good stay. Thanks windflower:)
What needs to improve : There could have been some evening events and HI Tea may be like other resorts.

What's Good: We first visited windflower Mysore in 2007 just my husband and me and we loved it , after 7 years this place is not great at all and we had our 5 year old son with us this time ... its just plain slow and the staff over all is just so disinterested about every thing ... - The people at the reception are just so dull and have no interest in sharing what the resort has to offer . Especially when they see a kid with you. - Food service is super slow and the staff couldn't be bothered at the restaurant . - I have been to the windflower spa a lot of times , including coorg , pondi and mysore previously , but this time it was not as great . The staff was in a hurry , they finished like 15 mins before time . - With all the mosquitoes around I asked for a repellent for the room and it never came . - Oh and we had loud Music playing until 12:30 at night , as they had some open air party , so the all the quite you were expecting at the foothills of Chamundi that can take a hike . So basically expect a lazy and ignorant staff which is least bit interested .So be ready to ask for anything atleast twice and you will get it without a smile . They make you feel like they are doing you a favor for coming and staying there ...

What's Good: The room service was quite slow and inefficient. Our cable, AC and room phone wasn't working which took several calls and trips to the reception to fix. There weren't enough tea and coffee satchets for 3 people. If there is an electric kettle in the room, then one must ensure that there is sufficient coffee, milk etc to use the same. When we called to ask for more, we were provided with tea instead of tea satchets. Such minor irritants spoiled the experience.

What's Good: Buffet breakfast could have a better in terms of spread, vegetarian deserts & NO eggless cakes & donuts served which would made it just perfect to the kids

My stay was for 2 nights and 3 days here , and my experience here are What I liked : 1. Everything promised in the package was present 2. Nice view from the balcony of the room 3. Cabs were easily available from the resort to travel to tourist attractions and close to chamundi hills 4. Rooms were clean and big , resort was neat and tidy 5. Staffs were kind What could improve : 1. Waiting time for the lunch at the restaurant was 45 minutes average on weekdays after ordering and 20-25 minutes (as claimed by them) on weekdays , on a weekday we were only 2 people at the restaurant and it still took 20-25 minutes for a couple of Indian bread and 1 sidedish 2. The room I stayed had a door which connects to a small passage connecting neighboring room which I don't feel safe or welcoming 3. Service is good , but hospitality (feeling welcoming / feel good factor ) are not so great , it was just like you get everything you pay for Please note the third point I write is because I had visited "windflower in coorg" and had a very welcoming and an awesome experience with staff , from the time we reached to resort , welcome towels , and just waiting for an opportunity to help guests were all so good that made us chose windflower this time... If I would rate windflower coorg to 5 (which I have done in trip advisor), I would rate windflower mysore just little over 3.6 .

Its a beautiful property overlooking the hills. A decent Ayurvedic spa. Restaurant is in an artificial lagoon with ducks and a fall like swimming pool. Service is good. Property is getting dated so need little bit of refurbishing.

Like many places in India, the windflower resort is stunning at night. During the day it is still nice but feels rather run down. The rooms are spacious, beds are comfortable and the outdoor terraces are lovely. Service is also great. The outdoor showers were a pleasant surprise. The pond running in front of all rooms is lovely. However there are a lot of small nuisances. We were a group with 5 rooms and all of them had some issues. Broken chair on terrace, very dirty and uninspiring concrete ceilings, boarding on terrace which was loose and rotten, dirty shower areas, noisy AC, etc etc. This place urgently needs a refresh to turn it into the luxury property it is priced at.

The property is located beautifully at the foot hills of Chamundi hills and weather is perfect at this time of the year in Mysore. Its spread out nicely away from the hustle bustle of the city. Spa, the facilities we availed were satisfactory. This is where the good part ends. The maintenance and servicing of the resort is below average. Certain essentials like a electronic safe are missing. We all travel with certain cash and other valuables and a safe to keep them secure always help. The master switch to turn off the lights in the night while sleeping turned off the charging sockets also. You would have to go around the entire room switching each one off. Sadly we couldnt even find the switch to the dressing light. The remote for the set-top box along with the TV was hardly functional. The batteries inside were chewed upon to supposedly drain the remaining charge if any. It had to be pointed in the painfully exact right direction for it to work. That frustrating feeling of one pointing the remote and pressing it again and again, harder and harder while moving the arm all around to find the right direction. Yes, I did call upon the room services, and well the guy would come and bring it near the stb in its line of direction and it would work, viola. The bidet kept leaking and we had to spread a towel on the floor to prevent the toilet becoming all messy. Support and housekeeping staff is tardy. Each call has to be made twice to thrice. Be it be towels (took more than 15-20 mins) or anything else. I understand that in a spread out property things take a bit more time than usual but not like forever. On asking for shoe bags while packing, it took 15 mins and 2 calls and was handed over laundry bags as supposedly shoe bags were not available. The legacy of Olive Garden is well known. It has been there for ages and was always known for its location and some decent food. The room serviced food was distasteful, pasta undercooked (to be fair, on complaining we were not charged for it). The breakfast spread was average, neither extensive nor limited. The service at the restaurant was better then the food they served. The breads such a danish and chocolate (hardly had chocolate) rolls did not taste fresh. Live counter was pretty average. Over all the food was pretty run of the mill, salvaged by the service. Overall an average stay.
