What's Good: Well, to start off with, the rooms were good, the resort was very spacious and big to take a stroll, swimming pool was neatly maintained, spa facilities met expectations. The ambience was warm, calm, soothing in itself. The food was very good. The buffet at the breakfast stole our hearts away. By far the best of the varieties that i have found. Overall a very good stay. Thanks windflower:)
What needs to improve : There could have been some evening events and HI Tea may be like other resorts.

What's Good: We first visited windflower Mysore in 2007 just my husband and me and we loved it , after 7 years this place is not great at all and we had our 5 year old son with us this time ... its just plain slow and the staff over all is just so disinterested about every thing ... - The people at the reception are just so dull and have no interest in sharing what the resort has to offer . Especially when they see a kid with you. - Food service is super slow and the staff couldn't be bothered at the restaurant . - I have been to the windflower spa a lot of times , including coorg , pondi and mysore previously , but this time it was not as great . The staff was in a hurry , they finished like 15 mins before time . - With all the mosquitoes around I asked for a repellent for the room and it never came . - Oh and we had loud Music playing until 12:30 at night , as they had some open air party , so the all the quite you were expecting at the foothills of Chamundi that can take a hike . So basically expect a lazy and ignorant staff which is least bit interested .So be ready to ask for anything atleast twice and you will get it without a smile . They make you feel like they are doing you a favor for coming and staying there ...

What's Good: The room service was quite slow and inefficient. Our cable, AC and room phone wasn't working which took several calls and trips to the reception to fix. There weren't enough tea and coffee satchets for 3 people. If there is an electric kettle in the room, then one must ensure that there is sufficient coffee, milk etc to use the same. When we called to ask for more, we were provided with tea instead of tea satchets. Such minor irritants spoiled the experience.

What's Good: Buffet breakfast could have a better in terms of spread, vegetarian deserts & NO eggless cakes & donuts served which would made it just perfect to the kids

I strongly feel that this resort is a refuge from day-to-day hustle, that boasts numerous amenities to pamper guests which include a pool; fully functional restaurants called Olive and Bistro and an Ayurveda Spa for mind and body detoxification.

The resort is located perfectly at the foothills of chamundi hill. But it needs better maintenance given the tariff. The rooms had mosquitos and few insects at night. Bathroom door unfixed. The balcony is unsafe for kids. The pool side restaurant stinks of chlorine. They should regularly clean the water which is supposedly not done. The only plus point was the ducks and parrot which our kids enjoyed the most. We are vegetarians and we were served chicken curry instead of veg. It was quite a mood off for us. Later the staff brought fruit platter to room. A sweet guesture. Probably we expected more from windflowers.

We had a decent stay until the last night where there was a rat running around nibbling snacks in our room while we were very disturbed and didn't sleep all night trying to locate the cretin all calls to reception remain unanswered viz., there was no support from them (what if someone was having a medical emergency?) On summoning the manager of the resort next morning (who took his time to show up) and relating the incident he seemed to be quite casual and wanted to close this by giving us a standard spleen "my apologies this will be looked into" which we told him was unacceptable as we hadn't slept a wink last night and were paying god money for a weekend getaway. Grudgingly he waived Rs1000/- off on the tab which was as good as doing nothing ! Dont think i will return till this unrepentant manager leaves the resort.

We stayed in a premium studio room for 3 nights. The room was very spacious, and well equipped, with a stepped four poster bed, rather difficult to negotiate during the night! The bathroom was quite spacious with the option of an outside shower which we didn't use. The quality of bath fittings, wardrobe needs immediate attention. The wooden floor in the room is very slippery. Need anti gripping floor, else this is very difficult for Kids & aged people. At the pool, there were only 3 sun beds which worked and the pool area was rather unspectacular. The restaurant food was extremely good and the staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was served in the bistro area and was rather cramped. The lighting in the restaurant could be a little more bright as I personally love to see my food better.

The Resort is well maintained and the spa was very relaxing. However, the bathroom in the spa wasn't clean. The rooms are quite big and spacious. Everything clean and tidy in the room. The pool area is also nice and has a waterfall. Ola cabs were easily available in the location, if you want to go around the city. Staff was good. However, the food at Olive Garden (in house restaurant) wasn't that great as the reviews suggest. Apart from that, we had a great stay. Also, Mysore city is so clean and nice, which made the stay even better :)
