Stay in the Mansion 1907 if you want a different sort of staying experience. A nice old house, well maintained, quiet and peaceful ambience, yet centrally located and close to the Palace, zoo and eateries. We stayed in the private double room with attached bathroom. It was comfortable even though small. Breakfast was not provided even though it was included in the package as per airbnb terms. However, they were kind enough to adjust it against the previous day's dinner. If you want lunch or dinner you have to inform them well in advance or else it will not be available. They do not have a full fledged restaurant. The dinner was very good, simple home cooked food. There are numerous eateries within walking distance for your meals. The staff was friendly and courteous yet quiet and uninterfering. For those who like animals there are two friendly resident dogs and a kitten on the premises. However they won't disturb you if you wish to be left alone. One minor inconvenience is that you have to remove your footwear outside and either leave it there or carry it to your room. House rules do not permit you to wear your footwear within the house. Overall we had a pleasant stay. Reasonably priced for the kind of room and facilities.

This is a good place with nice vibe. The stay here was good with few famous eatable options nearby.its near to palace city centre. Thought of staying for one two nights but ended up staying three nights.

Night look of mansion. Based on Hostel concept, good for solo and group travellers. 4/6 bed sharing, serene ambience, green garden, amazing tattoo work on walls, shared washrooms - Washrooms were clean, and can manage decent number of visitors at one time. Books / in door games like carrom, chess was also available. I loved the swing placed in the garden. Kitchen can be used on shared basis, towel is chargeable at 30 INR. Cycle on rent 100 INR per day, wifi available. In house paid meals available. Location is central, palace, Devraj market are on walking distance. You can prefer this if don't want luxury and have low maintenance cost. There is a pet dog who wanders here and there all day. Be cautious if you are scared of dog.

Best dorm ever in Mysore, its more a palace that got renovated to backpackers stay, dorms are clean and neat, view from balcony is good, arts over the walls are fantastic, not far from Mysore palace.

I went with my friends during the independence day weekend. We were given a seperate 6 bed dormitory. The rooms were clean. Don't expect privacy too much since it is a big house with common kitchen and other facilities but you will get a chance to mingle with different cultures people. You can notice a lot of foreigners staying in this place. It is cheapest place to stay in Mysore. You have wifi, books to read, a kitchen wherein you can buy your own groceries and cook, a fridge. It is like a home with strangers. Be careful with the auto drivers. Guys book in Ola, since it was are good from my experience, they charge nominal fare and don't cheat but the normal ones are cheaters and if you don't know local language, they try to extract as money as possible. So, be careful and use public transportation/cycles and Ola.
