Nagapattinam, once a prominent constituent of Cholamandalam, is now a major pilgrimage centre and tourist destination. This city in Tamil Nadu is located at a distance of around 320 km from state capital Chennai. The town runs along the Bay of Bengal with a coastline stretching through a length of 200 km. It has one of the busiest and most dynamic harbours of India which adds to the list of Nagapattinam tourist places. There are numerous other places to be visited bringing thousands to tourists to this location every year.
Numerous temples in the city are famous all over and pilgrims from different places visit the city to pay obeisance.
