Nice place with a decent drive time from Mumbai. It has amminities for all age groups. Service is good and they are accomodative for food packages as well. Swimming pool is well maintained and the best part is 4 rooms with common lobby - give a good cosy environment for trip with friends

A calm, quiet, relaxed place

Situated on old Bombay-Goa highway, this hotel was once called as Petron Resort and was exclusively used as a guest house for the Petron employees. The resort is just lush green with very cozy and comfortable rooms. You will get the rooms and cottages named after the names of trees. Palas is also a name of tree. The staff is good, courteous, and helpful. The service is fast but sometimes a bit slow when the resort is full. We have taken many of our US clients there and they have just loved the resort. You have many options of visiting Pali Ganesh Temple, Alibaug and other nearby places like Birla Temple and white water rafting when you stay there. The food is good. You will be served with some typical local dishes there. Buffet breakfast has a good spread with some local Maharashtrian dishes. The resort doesn't serve liquor but one can carry the liquor and have on their own in the lawns or in the rooms. Each cottage has a private lawn that's an added advantage. There are indoor as well as outdoor games in the resort. The resort also has a large and clean swimming pool. The resort is best in rainy season and winter. The garden and a small lake inside the resort are just awesome. The resort is not too costly and you will get a better deal if you choose to go for a package deal. A good family resort and value for money!

Had been to this place in March 2011. The entire resort is very green and well maintained. The swimming pool is clean so are the pathways leading to different places inside the resort. The rooms are moderately spacious and clean. The washrooms are clean, so are the bedsheets and blankets. The bathroom though clean, some renovation work can definitely help! The food at the restaurant is good and the staff is polite and courteous. The room service is quite good too. The staff is extremely accommodating and will try try level best to make your stay comfortable. Over all it is a very cozy place and definitely recommended for family, friends and couples. I will definitely like to visit this place again.
