What's Good: Interior, washroom tv all was good
What needs to improve : Caferia was so small
Reason For Rating : Hotel was neat and clean and situated at little heights location not recommended for elderly peoples. Hotels have a views of lakes from hotek balcony not from room balcony but there was 2 big family rooms consists of 4 beds each where you can enjoy the sight of lakes. Breakfast was mouthwatering and we got 4 big stuff parantha with curd for me and my wife. Room is not so big but interior was very good. Geyser was working very well. Overall 7 or 8 star out of 10

Reason For Rating : The location was worst. Reaxhing to the hotel with a small kid was terrible. The rooms were so small that entire room was covered with bed.The rooms had curtains instead of wall. We were offered the room opposite kitchen and we could not sleep the entire night. Will not recommend this hotel to anyone in future after paying such a huge amount

The hotel is situated up above the mall road and it takes uphill walk of 10-15 minutes to reach here from the Mall road. The service staff can be polite and improve on their skills for better hospitality.

It is undoubtedly one of the best properties in and near Nainital. It has got a beautiful view from its private balconies. Highly recommended with its really warm and courteous staff. Overall a satisfactory stay.

I stayed in Ekam Lodge, Nainital with family. The property is among many residential properties in Nainital that have been turned into hotel/guesthouses/lodges. Accessibility The lodge is located approximately 1.5-2 km. up a very steep slope. It was a challenge for our seasoned driver to the Swift Dzire up and down, even though we kept this to a bare minimum. Parking is something that I would like to mention that it is NOT AVAILABLE. Before our stay, we had a thought there must be some place for the visitors to park their vehicle but there is no parking space available. We got our vehicle parked at the Mall road and walked up all the way to the lodge. Even as physically fit youngsters, this turned out to be an excruciating experience. So, with family, kids or elderly people, look for options near to the mall road. The hotel is pretty close to the zoo, we walked to it. So, for visiting the zoo, it can be a good option however, for everything else in Nainital, the first thing to do is to walk downhill to the mall road. Apart from this, the whole experience was good. It is a reasonable small property so it is very quaint, which is a big plus for me. We got the best room that has the view of the lake and almost all of Nainital. Watching the early morning sunlight consume the entire city was a magnificent experience. The room was clean, though freezing cold in the light and early hours of the day. A room heater is recommended. The stay was comfortable, wifi was also working fine, though we did not use that much often. The only downside was that one can hear all the buzz outside the room but being away from the mall road, the city noises were kept to none at almost all the time. Hotel staff was courteous. Food options were good and it was served well by the room service. For the breakfast, there is a small area towards the back where there are 3 more rooms. This area also has a book shelf for the book worms to enjoy the hot tea while immersed in the book. Overall recommendation If you are physically fit and are travelling light and looking for a place to fit in a budget, you can opt for Ekum Lodge. However, the climb uphill is tiring and no parking available so you need to keep the vehicle parked downstairs.

we stayed two nights in the main room which has two double beds, one downstairs and one upstairs.. the view is certainly beautiful! but if you are a senior citizen or have walking difficulties bear in mind this place is about 15 min walk uphill and i mean a steep steady uphill. it is certainly stunning and the view at night is magical.. the room is lovely furnished and very clean, bathroom is modern and clean... waking up in the morning and just peep outside the curtain to see the lake was a beautiful morning gift.
