I have no words and infact words will not do justice to the amazing stay we had at Ramgarh bunglows. We were bit skeptical while booking this property since we intended to celebrate our kids birthday . But all our fears were put to rest as soon as we crossed bhimtal and started our approach towards Ramgarh . What a beautiful place it is nestled on the top of a mountain and equally mesmerising is this property . Good food , fresh air , very courteus staff , scenic view describes Ramgarh bunglows . Special thanks to chef Ramsingh, Sandeep and Sanjay for making my little ones bday special and taking care of him during the entire stay. Not to forget Shailender who is always there to take care of his guests with a warm smile.

We, a family of 3, visited Ramgarh early June and the place exceeded our expectations..Our stay was in Ashok Vaatika and the key feature of our room was a high bed facing large windows which opened up to a beautiful view of the mountains and trees laden with apricots and plums. Perched on a hilltop the entire property is surrounded by beautiful flowers and exquisite sights of the valley. The hospitality is top notch and thankfully non intrusive.Staff is extremely courteous and special mention to Basant ji and Anand ji who made our stay a pleasurable experience. Sumptuous food..beautiful sights..great weather and a cozy stay sums up our Ramgarh experience.Would definitely love to visit this place in winter when it snows.

We (me, my wife n daughter aged 6 yrs) stayed in the Butterfly room of the Writer's Bungalow for a night in the later half of May 2018. We started from Nainital in the late afternoon after doing some sightseeing and reached Ramgarh before 5 pm. There is a left turn at the Ramgarh market which should not be missed to reached Ramgarh Bungalows. From this turn it takes another 15 - 20 mins i think to reach the property. First you notice the Ashok Vatika n Cliff House. 200 mtrs ahead is the Writer's Bungalow and further 700 mtrs ahead is the Old Bungalow, Vista Villa, Rose Cottage, Reception n Dining Room. We were greeted by Rajdeep who looked after the Writer's Bungalow. Butterfly room is exactly as you see it on their website... full of British old world charm. The outside of the bungalow is equally charming... flowers, ivy n fruiting trees! We instantly fell in love with this room and the Writer's Bungalow in general. We got to see Apricots n Peaches on the trees. After having tea, we walked down to Ashok Vatika where we got to see fruiting trees - Pear, Walnut, Plum, Pomoegranate, Apricot n Peach. We also got to see the rooms in Ashok Vatika n Cliff House.... the Cliff house is excellent for a group and has lovely decor. Dinner n Breakfast were arranged in the Dining room and they also arranged a car for us to commute. Food was delicious. Their in-house Jams were just so awesome! We bought a few jams along with Plum Chutney which we had for the first time ever. It was sad that we stayed only for 1 night. This is a place where you can relac for 3 - 4 days and never get bored. Bird-watching can be a wonderful way to spend your time.... for that matter in entire Kumaon - got to see Verditer Flycatcher, Yellow Vented Bulbul, White Cheeked Bulbul, etc. Strongly recommended.

Spent almost five days at this magical place in the Himalayas from 30/05/18 to 03/04/18. Couldnt believe that we didnt hear a single car or bike horn honk during all this time, just the rustling of the leaving and chirping of the birds. The Manager (Shailendra) & Assistant Manager (Deepak) made us very comfortable, the Chef (Ram Singh) was a genius and even made some local cold dishes of Uttarakhand which blew our minds. Housekeeping staff (Suresh & Puran) kept our rooms clean and provided us with almost anything we required. Sanjay and Sandeep (Restaurant staff) doted on us during each of our meals. Unlike other guests, we chose to simply stay at the hotel for the entire period of five days and just enjoy the property, go for local walks, listen to wind blowing through the trees etc. I learnt a lot about local fruit bearing trees from the staff as well residents outside of the hotel such as Apricot, Plum and Walnut trees are all abundant in this area. We liked this place so much that we might go back there again next summer and stay for an entire week. Simply put haven in the Himalayas!

Ramgarh Bunglows is a gem if you need a detox from the mundane city life! Fresh air, classic rooms, excellent service , home style food and in the lap of nature. We travelled from Delhi - while it's a long drive it was well worth it. Hand picked strawberries, plums, peaches and apricots! Trekked through the mountains everyday and rejoiced in all things nature has to offer. We stayed at the Rose Cottage - Magnolia. Huge room with 5 beds and 2 bathrooms and private sitout areas. Suresh, Harish and Puran were absolutely the stars of our trip - thank you for your hospitality. Highly recommend this place ! We were also able to spot Planet Venus and Planet Jupiter through our naked eye at night! Definitely going back here !
