We are a group of 4 male senior citizens & we have stayed in the 8 bedded dormitory of Hotel Hangkim for a night.very surprised to notice good facilities in a dormitory at a very economical cost.it has 2 bathrooms & a separate lockers for keeping luggage.Everything is very neat & clean. Beds are good & bed covers are nicely washed. They have their own restaurant & the food & service is ok.It is slightly away from town centre & there is no other decent hotels near by. Taxi stand is just 1km away& hotel personnel will call taxi & you can directly negotiate the rates.The rates are reasonable & the drivers are polite.One drawback is that if anybody comes the dormitory late in the night then you may get disturbed. All sight seeing places are within reasonable distance.

We had a wonderful experience to stay at Hotel Hangkhim. This is the best place to relax as this is away from any hustle and bustle but not far from the main market. The rooms are spacious.Fabulous food catered to our taste. The facilities, the staff - everything is praise worthy. We had a comfortable stay and would love to come back.

It was truly a blissful experience to stay in this hotel. I felt at home for two days stayed here . The food, the facilities, the cleanliness and the service all top notch. This is a new property located very near to the town area with all the modern amenities in place. High speed wi-fi, round the clock service, travel support, cozy restaurant with great food, world class bar, karaoke etc. all within budget. Run by its owners, we got pampered big time. Overall a must stay.

Hi, I've booked a Business Suite in Hangkhim Hotel for 2 nights(15th December 20141, 6th December 2014). I've made an advanced payment of 5000 Rs in the Name of Sukacee Rai on 2nd of November. But as I was suffering from jaundice for past few weeks I had to cancel my booking. I have mailed to the mail ID email@example.com regardingthe same on 4th of December. I was earlier communicating with this mail id for booking and other information. But surprisingly the mail didn't get delivered successfully. I tried again on 9th of December to convey this message but still I was getting the same error. I tried to open the Website http://www.hotelhangkhim.com/ but that was not opening(Not operating still now also). I only have this mail id from my earlier communication to Hangkhim Hotel. I tried the phone Numbers mentioned in the signature and get hold of the number +91 8927411039. I tried this cell on 11th and 12th of November but didn't get an answer. Today when I tried again the number +91 8927411039 the Guy on the other side confirmed me that according to their cancellation policy the advance payment is 100% non-refundable. As i'm informing them very late. I tried to explain that I was trying to send mails from 4th of December. And as the hotel website is not opening I couldn't find any other mail address from there. He doesn't have a explanation why the mail address and Hotel's website is not opening but asked me why I don't used the other mail id which is on Rediffmail. I don't understand from where should I collect that mail ID if the website of the hotel is down!!!!! When I told that I called on the reception to inform about my cancellation , he asked me the guys name with whom I've spoken to. I have not asked the name of that guy. He told me without that they will not be able to verify whether I called or not!!!! I didn't get hold of the cancellation policy of this hotel either!! I was told today that they will try to find out the person who talked with me earlier and then they will gt back to me. But I never get a call back. I was trying to call the number +91 8927411039 for past 7 hours but the number is not reachable!!!! Can somebody help me to understand what is going on here. I've chosen this hotel by seeing the review of TripAdvisor but it seems like something went very very wrong. I got all my advanced payment back from Hotel Sonam Delek of Gangtok within 3 working days. They are picking up phones at night and replying mails very promptly. But I 'm seriously disappointed with the service of this hotel. PS: Be very very careful while making advance payment for booking. Please read the cancellation policy carefully (If you can find it out on the hotel's website) and get hold of lots of mail id of this hotel because god knows which one will work when you are in trouble!!!

Had the good fortune of staying with Hangkhim and must say that it was an excellent experience.Only thing lacking was intelligence in staff(although extremely courteous).They messed up the room that I had asked for and charged me much more than I had planned for but fortunately I had talked to Mr Chettri (accidentaly) before booking who sorted it out. I do not know who Mr Chettri is since no one in the Hotel could actually tell me what his designation was.Some said he was the owner and the others said he was the manager. However the bottom line is that the stay was comfortable with clean rooms and sheets(which is more than I can say about most of the hotels in the region),extremely courteous staff(although dumb),good service and a memorable stay.Hats off to Mr Chettri for managing with such people and still providing a good stay.
