Great food and great service. Rooms were clean and hotel followed all safety protocol. Staff was courteous. Hotel was well maintained. Worth a stay again. We had gone for a celebration and they made it special which we appreciated very much.

  • Visit to Nashik

while the overall stay was good there were a few things I didn't expect at a Taj property. 1. For the price paid, the room offered seemed sub standard. The furniture was aging, the bathroom ceiling was also kinda wet and appeared a little leaky. 2. While most safety measures are followed, it appears that a group of Gujarati people were allowed to get away with not wearing masks, patronize the hallways talking loudly in the middle of the night. 3. Selective rules seem to be applicable for large groups rather than for single or couple travellers. Having stayed at other Taj properties, my stay here was rather disappointing. The Average rating is only keeping in mind the exteriors.

  • Corona Kaal Staycation With Safety

    by Jay S on

Been to the Gateway hotel Ambad in the october with family and kid. I was awestruck with the hotel environment so peaceful and huge lawns with jogging track as u enter the premises. In the reception you're greeted and luggage is sanitised. Thanks to Mr. Darren we got complimentary room upgrade though i missed the upgrade to room with bathtub as my kid is fond of it but it was a great surprise we got upgrade though hotel was almost full. Once checked in we had lunch buffet, it was amazing spread of different things such good was taste. We were escorted by Resturant manager Mr. Kailash who was such a delightful guy he took care of everything not only related to food but also we had comfortable stay. Tejas G, Tejas, Ashish, Pintu, Ashpak were always on toes to serve us in best of the way and our every food related demand was fulfilled by them. Ambica had made sure our rooms are sanitised on daily basis and always upto date. The guys at the gateway were so humble they took care of my 2.5 year old daughter by pampering her with chocolate, teddies and lot more stuffs. Kavita the floor manager always made sure she took some time off to play and pamper her. Shashikant and Sachin were helpful with luggage as well. I would definitely recomment the gateway in this corona as they take highest precaution, interesting thing is which i got to know from insider the staff has not been to their home since last 6 months to serve the guest and no infections are spread such is the greatness!!! Kudos to the team and Tajness they deliver. Planning to send my parents soon for their staycation.

  • Tajness never disappoints!!

Was really skeptical about venturing out during these difficult times, but ultimately made the right choice of choosing a Taj property .. was really looked after well and the sanitisation was quite satisfactory. All rooms and linen are sanitised regularly and the hospitality is unbeatable. Also a pleasant surprise to see the weekend saw almost 60-70 percent occupancy and was well handled by the staff.. only letdown was the monotonous lunch and dinner menu.. it was similar during our 2 night stay.. if you are confident about going for a short trip out of Mumbai, would definitely recommend this part of the Taj experience! Well done guys!

  • Amazing hospitality during pandemic visit

    by travelmaniac162 on

This is a bit long but I could not cut it short Like most in the planet the lockdown had completely knocked the stuffing out of us. Working from home and working for home had put us at our wit's end. With the COVID-19 pandemic taking its own sweet time to unravel we decided that a break was a necessity both for our mental peace and physical stability. I had decided in my mind given the current situation if we venture out we would only go to a Taj property keeping health and sanitization matters in mind. We had gone to Taj Gateway Hotel at Nashik a couple of years ago and so decided to call them up to enquire about matters. As the property is very beautiful and very well maintained. They have full sanitization protocol in place including a 24 hour quarantine for every room after an occupation ends. I spoke to them over the phone and was reassured about the health and sanitization measures in place. We drove down and started our staycation with laptops, phones, Ipads and all other electric paraphernalia. We initially decided for a week but the 'Waaah Taaj' experience bowled us over. In Sumit Sarkar and Tejas we had two of the kindest souls who went out of the way to make our stay mind blogging. Personalized menus, excellent suggestions and appropriate portion sizes to prevent wastage they ensured EVERYTHING. Our one week stay got extended to Two ,thanks to these people. The best part was although we stayed for two weeks, they had home food cooked for us as well since it's not possible to eat rich food throughout. They not only customised the dishes but also now and then gave surprises like hot rasgulla, freshly made kalakand , palm sized Kala jamun . The pastries r also too good. We were actually pampered to the fullest and at every point they went an extra mile to make us feel special. Another best part was you dont have to be confined in your room for WiFi connection. You can sit in the beautiful lobby or adjacent balconies where so many parrots whistle and squawk. Absolutely close to the nature feeling. Sitting there n working was out of the world experience. If at any point the WiFi refused to connect they would assist to fix it immediately without making u waste your time. I would like to mention here that all the staffs there right from restaurent , facilities , room service ,desk or even the doorman were very well courteous and always came forward to assist or help. The joggers park is very well maintained where u can go for long walks. N buggy ride was the biggest attraction for my daughter everyday. Even though the swimming pool is not functional but its very well cleaned. There are ample sitting arrangements around the swimming pool. U can play badminton, chess, TT and carrom. Absolute de stressing n enjoyable experience! Hats off and keep up the good work in these dire times. See you soon.
