What's Good: Loation
What needs to improve : The overall upkeep
Reason For Rating : The hotel is not worth the money. Bed bug was found. The rooms are very small. The cleanliness needs improvement.

We stayed twice on our recent visit to India and we really enjoyed our stay. Firstly this is India, forget any preconceived notions and enjoy the experience. The room was clean, as was the hotel. All of the staff are very friendly and were very helpful and accommodating. The hotel restaurant is amazing and serves delicious, well cooked, authentic Indian food. There are some great choices at breakfast, all tasty. We also had lunch one day and the curries are fantastic. We learned after the first day, that if you wish to shower before 6, inform reception so that you can have hot water. A great little hotel that I will use when I next visit Delhi.

Firstly remember you are in India & the standards are nothing like the UK! Go with an open mind & have realistic expectations! The hotel is down a side street. In walking distance to the metro etc. Reception staff mainly happy & helpful but what I discovered whilst travelling through India is that if you speak to locals who don't always look too happy they will reply normally with a beaming smile and happy to interact. The restaurant wasn't the best & breakfast minimal. The room 3rd floor on roadside....very noisy but you get used to the Delhi noise & beeping (it's part of the journey)! Room could have been cleaner but clean bedding & towels. The towels & bedding clean but slightly grey but this seemed to be normal for most of the hotels we stayed in on the Intrepid tour. There was a rug on the floor at the end of the bed that should be removed as old & worn out, looked dirty & not needed. The bathroom was ok, clean ish & the shower was good. All in all & for the money we paid it did what was necessary.

We stayed in 13 hotels in total, and twice at Metro View as part of intrepid tours in India in December/January. This was by far the weakest overall experience with issues including - Initially allocated substandard pokey room with no window, moved when asked to be reallocated to another room - issues with hot water on first day, and ongoing issues with ability to redirect water from tap outlet to shower head - no bath mat or hand towel provided when room made up one day - tea and coffee not provided when room made up one day - water not refreshed when room made up one day - excessive amount of noise in the evening on first stay due to other guests on level 3 having their doors open and congregating on the landing despite being asked to reduce noise - loud noise from dance floor during second stay due to party on roof top from 9pm-midnight directly above our room, poor noise proofing of rooms - on check out day no water at all in room, unable to flush toilet. Fiasco trying to get it sorted. - breakfast average and slow, dark dining room. It is not "included" per trip advisor listing. - issues with pigeons landing on metal box AC unit outside creating noise - bathroom and rooms need some maintenance and not in good condition (lid falls off kettle, handle on cupboard broken, unidentified hole in bathroom ceiling with wire sticking out etc). Open and exposed wiring box on landing at level accessible by Children (see pic) On a positive note, wifi was good, and bed reasonably comfortable. Central location.

On face value (around 15 per night) it's a good hotel, Wi-Fi is good (better than the other hotels on the trip) rooms are reasonable especially for the price, staff are very friendly, food in house but also a great restaurant at the corner of the street (not even a minute from the hotel entrance) India and Delhi are not for the faint hearted, so go with open eyes.

Think twice before choosing this hotel. Very terrible experience. Personally i dont recommend this hotel to any of my friends, family members and even to strangers. - Couldn't take shower (water shortage). - Had to wait for more than an hour for hotel staff to checkout WTF reason accountant was on the way. - No slippers in wash room.
