We were staying at this hotel for a few days on an organised trip and although we were only there a short time I can't say with any honesty that it nothing negative or truly positive registered with me. The place and staff were efficient and effective at all times but its location is perfect as it is ~5 minutes walk from a Metro Station.

We had our first night of the two weeks tour in Delhi at Maidens and it met all our needs. The charm of the old times is still there - you are travelling in time. The rooms are large and comfortable, the restaurant serves tasty food. The hotel is very close to the center and if you want to use metro - the station is maybe 200m from the hotel. If you like to get something stylish, colonial and comfortable - why don't you try Maidens!

The Maidens Hotel is a grand white building with lovely grounds and a decent swimming pool area for taking in the sun. The food is excellent, there are a couple of nice bars for taking a leisurely bevvy. The a la carte restaurant is a lovely big area and the garden area was a great place to take breakfast and the evening buffet outside. The staff were extremely friendly and the service is excellent. The room we had was extremely spacious and clean and tidy. The area outside the hotel doesn't offer much to walk to but there are tuk tuk drivers outside who can take you to India gate etc

Stayed for 2 nights on our tour of India. We had a lovely large room on the 4th floor overlooking the front of the hotel. I believe we were lucky as not everyone in our group had a view. It had a separate area for cases and clothes which meant there was no clutter. The bathroom was especially good with a large shower and separate bath. The lift was small but in keeping with the age of the hotel. It is good that they have kept it as it was. Breakfast was good and it was nice to sit outside in the grounds. Service was quick and efficient. Dinner was good in the Garden Terrace. We didnt have time to use the pool, but it looked inviting. Loved the peacocks in the trees in the garden by the pool but glad they were not too close to our room! The doorman seemed a real character and made you feel very welcome. Check in was quick and efficient. There was just something that was missing that would otherwise have given this more of a wow factor. The happy hour is good - 4 hours between 4pm and 8pm but the bar is a bit austere with little character and service somewhat slow. Its a shame that there is not a bar more linked to the garden area, although you are free to take your drinks out there.

From the minute we arrived we were very warmly welcomed by all staff with beaming smiles. This hotel is very well maintained beautifully clean with very spacious rooms. The meals were fantastic. A wonderful introduction to India. I would happily stay there again.
