What's Good: Pool, rooms, plunge pool

If you are looking for a super comfortable and a luxury stay in the heart of Delhi, then this is a place to be. Location : It is quite central in terms of its location. Khan Market / Connaught place is usually 10-15 minutes in regular traffic. The neighbourhood is peaceful and the area seems really secure and uplifted. Entrance & Reception : Very neat and clean, very quite and the staff is very very helpful. You are received with smiling faces and every small thing is been taken care of very well. The checkin process is quite fast and half the formalities are filled inside your room where you are comfortable. Rooms : The size of the rooms are great. Quite large and a very nice mix of classic and modern amenities. The furniture seems to be just perfect. everything is very spacious. The large windows give an amazing natural light. It has a balcony where you can sit and enjoy coffee looking towards the great garden view. The real star in the room is the private plunge pool. It is a perfect size for in-room pool and has a mini sitting area of its own. I would highly recommend to take the rooms with the private pool. It has very nice shower, great washbasins, and the pool is just too good and gives you leverage to use it any time. Staff / Service : One of the most polite and helpful staff. Super people as a whole team, very professional and also give amazing personal touch. I would really love to extend my gratitude towards "Ms Soni", she was at the reception and went extra miles to provide the perfect service. Never seen such kind of hospitality and the pain she took, taking empathy to next level and helping in whichever way it was possible. Food : Was just able to try the in room dining. And it was crisp and nice. Great variety and also good depth in kids menu. Would highly recommend this hotel and would love to come back again and again.

We stayed at the Lodhi hotel in July and took 2 rooms - the Lodhi Room and the 1 bedroom suite. The 1 bedroom suite was extremely nice however there were serious housekeeping issues with a thick pile of dust everywhere in the room. It seemed that the room hasnt been used too much and not cleaned thoroughly before our check in. However the Lodhi room was a complete disaster! There was a continuous smell like a public urinal in the bathroom. The room was dingy and again there was an issue of dust. The bathroom was the BIGGEST PUT OFF since the smell lingered throughout the day and night. The food was very nice - we didnt go to Indian accent but ordered room service and the food was delicious. Totally hit the spot! The lobby ambience is average. The staff is very nice. The service was great and thats what kind of made up for the housekeeping issues. Since it was our friends birthday, the hotel actually prepared a DELICIOUS cake for us as a surprise. The check in and check out process was smooth.

i was staying in room no 703. it is a awesome room with amenities, specially private pool inside the room. it was a wonderful stay. having dinner in elan restaurant was awesome. mouth watering dishes and courteous staff, specially mr yatinder singh. he was so amazing in his service, knowledge of food and service. thank you lodhi thank you all the staff thank you yatinder for your hospitality.

I had visited the hotel for dinner last weekend with my friends and was pleasantly surprised at the quality and taste of food that had improved tremendously. I had visited Lodhi last year for dinner and was so disappointed with the food that I never returned. However I decided to try it again as I had heard the food had improved tremendously under the guidance and changes made by the new General Manager Mr Vikram Aditya Singh. My friends and me ate at the Elan restaurant and really enjoyed the food and service. They had a new Japanese chef all the way from Japan who made mouth watering dishes for us. We even tried a few Indian dishes and were not disappointed by any. I must say the positive changes in the food quality, flavour and service brought about by the new General Manager Mr Vikram is commendable. Had a wonderful experience. Thankyou for a memorable night.

This review isn't about the hotel. This is about customer service. I was there in April and had to contact the concierge two weeks later regarding a small refund I was due to receive. Rajiv, the Chief Concierge prompty replied and made necessary arrangements for the payment to go through. However, nothing happened for the next 3 weeks, so I contacted him again. I then learnt that the finance department has processed the refund and advised their bank to transfer the said amount to my credit card. Hearing I still didn't receive it, Mahesh Singh (Assistant Manager, Income & Audit) sprang into action and I saw numerous emails going back and forth between him and their bank. Mahesh provided me with the ARN and the date of transfer but my bank (ING Australia) claimed they didn't receive a refund. Further inquiry revealed that it was partly the fault of the ING. When ING receives refunds in foreign currency they immediately return those to the sender (with no record of the receipt). At this stage I was embarrased to have troubled Rajiv and Mahesh over several weeks for a small sum of 26AUD and I was about to give up. But Mahesh kept going until their bank transferred the funds to my credit card in AUD. It was very impressive how they handled the case considering the trouble they went through for such a small refund. This is what I call customer service - not the way businesses treat the customers when things go well, but how they treat us when things go wrong. They are true to their words 'Please find us at your disposal for any assistance' Well done team Lodhi. Your efforts are greatly appreciated.
